Description
£1375/month + bills
My flatmate will be moving to Mexico at the end of November, so we are looking for someone to rent his bedroom with a private bathroom and a separate office space.
ABOUT THE FLAT:
The flat is a three-bedroom maisonette (duplex) in Hackney Central, where you would be using two of the bedrooms. The building is only four levels high, with the flat occupying the top two levels. There is a lift in the main stair lobby. Situated on a private road (cul-de-sac), the flat is very quiet—a rarity in London. The owner is an architect who fully refurbished the flat in 2019, including adding insulation to the external walls and roof to keep heating costs to a minimum. All appliances are energy-efficient (A+ or better) to help reduce the annual electricity bill. He lived in the flat until about two years ago.
Your bedroom is a spacious double with built-in wardrobes and additional storage under the bed. It comes with its own dedicated bathroom (I have my own ensuite shower room). The third bedroom, which is smaller, can be used as an office or occasionally as a guest bedroom.
The living room has an open-plan kitchen, located to one side of the space to create a sense of separation from the living area. There is a table that seats four people, a large sofa with a television, and a good-sized balcony for relaxing or dining outside. A separate utility cupboard includes a washing machine and dryer.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a 36-year-old graphic designer from the North of England. I've lived in the flat for 2.5 years now and really enjoy it as a calm and relaxing space to return to after a busy day. I enjoy going to galleries, a good film, stand up comedy, and running. I work from an office in London Fields from Monday to Thursday, I work from home Fridays mostly, but have been going into the office more recently. If I’m not at the gym or out on an evening, I’m pretty chill, usually drawing, painting, reading and listening to music.
I’m looking for someone friendly, likes a chat, and equally chill to match the calm vibe of the flat, and who’s clean and tidy in the kitchen.
LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS:
Hackney Central is both tranquil and lively, depending on which direction you head. There are plenty of parks nearby as well as lovely independent shops, bars, and restaurants. Hackney Central and Hackney Downs stations are both only a 5-minute walk away, offering good connections to Highbury & Islington, Liverpool Street, Stratford, and beyond. Numerous buses also run from the surrounding streets, providing easy access to almost anywhere in London.
