HACKNEY SUBLET - October to January, with flexibility

I’m subletting my beautiful, cosy room in Hackney Downs from early October until January, with some flexibility around dates.

Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can stay for around 3 months and who is also a little flexible, as I’m currently travelling and still figuring out exactly when I’ll return to London.

Rent: £1,127 + £160 bills per month. Refundable deposit required.

The room is in the heart of Hackney Downs, seconds from Hackney Downs Park, around 10 minutes’ walk from Hackney Central and Hackney Downs stations, and 15 minutes from London Fields.

A little about the house

We’re looking for a housemate who’s kind, self-aware, clean and values shared space. Someone who brings good energy and appreciates living in a home that feels cared for, not just a place to sleep.

You’d be living with Matt and Fay, two wonderful, interesting and conscious humans. Age really isn’t the thing for us, presence and awareness are. We’ve sublet before and know how much smoother everything flows when people are thoughtful and grounded.

It’s a peaceful, conscious household, not a party house. We don’t smoke, drink or use substances at home, and we really value a calm, chilled environment. The house is kept tidy and there’s also a lovely garden to enjoy.

Viewings

I’m currently travelling in Indonesia and am 7 hours ahead of the UK, so I’ll first have a little Zoom/WhatsApp chat with anyone interested to see if it feels like a good fit.

In-person viewings will be on 12th September and 19th September, between 10am–2pm, after our initial Zoom call. I can also send videos of the room beforehand. To secure the room we require the refundable deposit to be paid 2 weeks ahead of the move.
