Description
**Looking for a longer term flatmate who wants to make this a home :) ... but just to be upfront, i have committed to having a few family members from Australia come to stay 23rd August - 1st September.**
The room: It's a Master room with built in wardrobes for your stuff. (It will be, by the time you move in... :P ) Furnished with a kingsized bed, bookshelves and a desk, facing the enclosed front garden.
The flat: it's a purpose build 2 bed flat from the 1920s but recently done up so it's pretty energy efficient and cosy in the winter.
Big garden out back, perfect for long summer days and BBQs (yes, got one of those). The front garden is a little more sparse, but enclosed so you can chill there too. (Note, i've only moved in in April, so there are a few odd-jobs that need doing around the place, such as populating the front garden, some odd painting jobs here and there... also if you want to paint your room fun colours - be my guest!)
It's also right near the Hackney Marshes and Mabley Green, Victoria Park isn't far, so you'll have your fill of green spaces.
In terms of transport - busses at the end of the street, the nearest overground station is Homerton which is ~10mins walk away, and Hackney Wick overground 15mins walk.
You'll be living with a 37 y. o Australian working in climate change consulting. I tend to be in the office most days during the week, but will wfh the occasional Monday or Friday. I tend to be out a few evenings a week climbing or seeing friends.
Ideally I'm looking for someone who is similarly likely to be in the office some days, out and about from time to time, but who is happy to socialise and hang out in the kitchen, and have friends over. Not much a party-in-the-house kind of person, but will have friends over for a BBQ on occaision. Someone similar in age and interests would be great, too.
Bills are £120pcm - internet, council tax (band C i believe), electricity/gas. Open to getting a cleaner on, say, a fortnightly basis, too if that suits :)
And there's plenty of on street parking, but will need to get a residents permit if you've got a car. Space for bikes in the back shed (will be putting up a proper bike shed shortly)
Flexible on move in dates. I would like someone before the end of June ideally or early July.
