Description
A Lovely Four bedroom house with a garden on the border of Clapton and Stoke Newington
The house is spacious and well maintained. There are two bathrooms (one shower and one bathtub, two toilets) and there are built-in wardrobes outside the bedrooms that serve as extra storage space. The living room is cosy and the kitchen is modern with all the necessary equipment. We have a lovely garden, with a lot of potential! If you’re into it you could plant herbs or grow things, as we have already some beautiful tomatoes and cucumbers growing strong. We also have a barbecue as it’s the perfect place to enjoy a sunny lunch!
We're in a perfect location that is close to the overground stations (Clapton Station is a 7 minute walk away, Stoke Newington and Rectory Road stations are 10-15 mins walk away). Shops are easy to access and we are close to the Hackney Marshes and the historical Abney Park. There are a lot of beautiful green spaces within walking distance from the house. We are near the vibrant Stoke Newington Church Street that has great little shops, cafes, restaurants and the Hackney Flea Market. You can get everything you need in your local area.
We have a cleaner coming every two weeks to help maintain the shared spaces - that is included in the rent.
We are looking for one individual to join us as one room (furnished) is becoming available on the 4th of October. We are hoping to find a housemate who is tidy (that includes keeping all drains free of debris), who will feel the ownership over the shared spaces, who is truly responsible and organised around practical life matters (yes, that means bills ;), who is respectful and friendly.
You must be a working professional over 27 years old. No couples, no pets, no smokers, sorry!
Who you’d be living with:
Marina (36, she/her, a Polish Londoner) - a theatre house manager with a great passion for all forms of storytelling. A cyclist who loves film, nature, farmers' markets (big on sustainability so will tell you off if you don't recycle correctly), who sometimes makes natural soaps and likes to ferment things so I hope your nostrils are happy with essential oils and delicious sour veggies
Julie (34, she/her, French) I work in hospitality and I’m also doing a Masters degree in Art Psychotherapy. I enjoy reading (let's book swap), writing, going to exhibitions and watching movies (and trash tv!), as well as the occasional trip to the local pub.
Gareth (33, he/him, Australian)
An online learning designer who loves staying active and creative. He’s vegan, enjoys cycling, tennis, the occasional run, and is always up for a chat. When he’s not out and about exploring London, you’ll often find him playing music (with headphones on!) or relaxing with a film.
We all have busy schedules and we enjoy being at home to relax and have a quiet and nourishing time. This is not a party house but we enjoy sharing a lunch and a chat together. We also value our individual time and space. The house feels homely and it’s important we all feel comfortable living in that space we happily call home.
