Beautiful room available next to London Fields

Hello! Flossie and Cande here, writing to you about our cosy room that’s available from 29th Jan in our wonderful Broadway Market home.

The location is amazing, just off Broadway Market by London Fields, and walkable from Shoreditch/Dalston/Bethnal Green. It is an amazing part of London and we feel very lucky to get to live here at such a good price.

The room is little but really homely and with lots of storage. Both of us have lived there, Flossie being the current tenant for the past 2 years, she’s moving to the bigger room as our housemate is leaving to move in with her partner but she’s sad to say goodbye to this room. It comes furnished with a bed, lamp and chest of drawers as well as the built in wardrobe.

As the room is on the smaller side, you are welcome to work in the living room during the day, but as it is a shared space we do ask that it is only 3x a week. If you need to be working at your desk late into the night, this won’t be a good fit as we will all want to share the communal space in the evenings.

A bit about us: Flossie (32) and Cande (36) and we are looking for someone who identifies as female/NB in their 30s. Flossie works for an education charity, outside of this she is normally found in the pub, at Glastonbury or attending the weddings of everyone she’s ever met. Cande is a writer and EA (it pays the bills for now), and is doing a Creative Writing master’s on the side; outside of this she is normally found chasing all the cultural experiences London has to offer or in a cafe reading 4 books at the same time.

Our lives are pretty busy as we are both social and like to go to shows, gigs, trips etc but we also enjoy an evening of gossip, sharing book recommendations and critically acclaimed cinema (if Cande is choosing) and Below Deck (if Flossie is choosing). We sometimes join each other’s group of friends, if the vibe is right!

Key things to note:
* We have a washing machine (no dryer)
* We have a dishwasher!
* Our TV is for hdmi only, we don’t have live tv
* We have our friends round for dinners/drinks etc and tend to offer our rooms to guests if one of us is away but this is not the house for hosting afters/late night parties.
* Our landlord is fabulous, he pops round (with permission) to fix things and is really kind and helpful.
* We want to make sure this place feels like home so we are gradually making changes to make this place feel ours; current plans include making the balcony cute and seeing if we can replace the sofa.
* Move in date is flexible but rent payments will begin on the 29th.

The room is a bargain at £700. Bills come to around £110 a month for everything (council tax, water, internet etc). We are on a fixed rate for heating and therefore don’t need to ration it in the winter!! Deposit is £845 plus a holding deposit of £160 which will then be deductible from the rent.
