Sublet (max 7 months) in Hackney

Gorgeous ensuite room for sublet in a perfect location. Ideal for a student or someone arriving in London.

Hi everyone! I'm going travelling from the end of the year until mid-July 2026, and I'm looking to sublet my room. It would be perfect for a student coming to London for the semester or someone moving over and looking for a base while they find their feet.

The Room:
Gorgeous room with everything you need - a big comfortable bed, an incredible WFH setup with massive screen and plug-and play laptop stand, a BIR and chest of drawers, and a lovely ensuite. The plants make the room feel lovely and homely, and most importantly are (deliberately) incredibly low-maintenance, only needing watering once every month or two.

The photos were taken now and so still have my clothes etc, but I will be clearing out the BIR and chest of drawers so you can use them :)

The flat:
- Gorgeous modern/hygge vibes.
- Full kitchen with a proper sized fridge, not some tiny bar fridge affair.
- A secure lockup downstairs for your bike (I keep a pretty nice road bike in there with no issues!)
- Built in water filter/softener so London water will no longer taste like shit and make you bald.
- Washer and a dryer. Pure luxury in winter when you can’t be arsed hanging your clothes out to dry for three days.

You'll be sharing with Lewis (British, paramedic, keen darts player who can talk the hind leg off a donkey) and Helen (Aussie, singer and economics whiz, knows anything there is to know about music). Both absolute legends, and we tend to keep fairly busy so people are often out and about.

The area:
- Located in the middle of Hackney, next to Central/Downs stations. Dead easy to get to Hackney Wick, the City, Stansted, and wherever else you might want to go.
- Tesco local nextdoor, superstore 5 minutes’ walk away.
- 5 minutes’ walk from Hackney Downs, 15 minutes’ walk from London Fields and Broadway market.
- All the pubs/bars you could shake a stick at.

The price includes all bills, council tax, internet, and a fortnightly cleaner who makes the flat look straight out of a magazine. Open to reasonable negotiations depending on couples, length of stay etc. Small deposit to protect against damage - I'm not a corporate landlord and not going to be a dick about it!
