Double Room Up for grabs in Our Lovely Hackney Home

Hey! We’ve got a double room coming free in our gorgeous home in Homerton & we’re looking for a new lovely housemate to join us from the 17th of Nov.

THE HOUSE:
It’s a cosy, colourful Victorian terrace with wooden floors throughout and a light-filled kitchen-diner that opens onto our garden (complete with a veggie patch and herb garden) There’s also a small but sweet living room & four bedrooms in total.

The available room is a double on the first floor, at the back of the house overlooking the garden. It’s bright, gets the evening sun, & has lovely wooden floorboards and a gorgeous fireplace feature. The room comes unfurnished

THE VIBE:
Our house is homely & pretty peaceful, but we enjoy catching up over tea, food, or wine when we’re all home. It’s definitely not a party place, more of a cosy, relaxed home where we respect each other’s space. We’ve got a weekly cleaning rota to keep things tidy, & people tend to stay around once they move in

THE HOUSEMATES:
You’ll be living with three lovely housemates: Lucy (28), an Aussie who works in a vintage shop; Nathalie (31), from the UK, works in the charity sector supporting migrant programmes; & Matina (44), a Swedish chef and designer with a green thumb.
We’re into hiking, art, design, photography, gigs, yoga, cooking, wild lake swimming, reading, choir, travel, & sustainability

THE NUMBERS:
• Rent: £620/month
• Bills: Around £130/month each (council tax, internet, energy, water, house stuff)
• Deposit: £587.50

THE AREA:
We’re on a quiet street just 5 mins from Chatsworth Road (great cafés, pubs, shops + a lovely Sunday market) Homerton Overground is also 5 mins away (2 stops to Stratford), and Hackney Central is a 10-min walk. Loads of green spaces nearby too – Hackney Marshes, Victoria Park, London Fields, the canal…

YOU:
We’re looking for someone 28+ who would fit in with the vibe described above - easygoing, respectful, and someone looking to settle in for at least 6 months. We’d love someone who’s happy to pitch in with general house stuff and responsibilities.

Preferably no students (for council tax reasons), no couples. LGBTQ+ friendly.
No pets unfortunately… but the neighbours cats love to hangout with us in the garden 💓
