Two double rooms available in Hackney house share

Sadly my housemates have moved out, so two double rooms are now free in our cosy Homerton house.

We’re about a five-minute walk from Chatsworth Road, which has loads of nice shops, cafés and restaurants, plus an independent cinema that does £6 tickets on Mondays. On Sundays there’s the Chatsworth Road Market with great food, produce and vintage bits, which really brings the area to life. There are also some lovely pubs nearby – the Adam & Eve is a favourite – and the canal and Hackney Marshes are right on the doorstep, perfect for running, walks or just unwinding. Homerton Overground is about a 15-minute walk linking you to the Victoria line at Highbury and the Elisabeth and Central lines at Stratford, the 242 bus goes from just around the corner straight into the City at Aldgate.

The house is also a stones throw away from the adjacent canal, so if you like being beside water+nature and enjoy walking and cycling, it’s perfect, with routes to Clapton, Stratford, and Vicky Park.

The room is a good-sized double and will come with a bed and wardrobe , but with enough room to fit a desk and all the other usual bits.

The house itself has a large open-plan kitchen/dining area that leads out into the garden, where we’ve had plenty of summer meals. There’s also a decent sized living room for relaxing with Netflix or Prime, and a sofa bed.

We’ve got two bathrooms (one with a walk-in shower, the other with a bath/shower) and some extra storage which always comes in handy.

Bills come to around £100 a month, covering council tax, internet, gas, electricity and water.
