Double room in queer Lower Clapton home

Hello :)

I'm Matilda and there is a medium double room becoming available in my very queer and spacious home in Lower Clapton on 10 December 2025.

The house is a large 4-bed with two bathrooms (one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor), a living room, ‘reception’ room, dining area, kitchen and a beautiful green foresty garden (frequented by many cats), split over 3 levels.

The room becoming available is a medium double room situated on the 2nd floor of the house.

Currently in the house we have:
-Matilda (she/her), nature lover, roller derby, investigative podcasts, passionate about social justice. Values home as a safe, calm and clean environment.

-Bobby (Matilda’s cat), mature little gentleman, likes lots of cuddles but trust must be earned (worship at his alter etc)

-Two new people will be moving in alongside YOU on 10 December. The outgoing tenants are leaving due to work abroad/ change in work/visa situation/ affordability. The two new people are also queer.

About you:
We are looking for someone who is also queer and who shares our values for how we want home to feel. Previously we have enjoyed occasionally sharing meals or a chat during a lunch break (not an obligation), maintaining a sense of home and connection with each other and not treating home as just a place to stop off for meals and bed. Home is kept clean and tidy and this responsibility has previously been shared using a weekly rota. Generally, the house is pretty calm but we enjoy having guests over from time to time to share meals etc. We would love for you to be someone who also fosters a sense of genuine care for the people they live with.

We’re in our mid-late 20s (cat not included) and ideally looking for someone who is late 20s-30+.

We all work hybrid jobs and wfh a few days a week so there will generally be someone home on most weekdays.

-Move in 10 December
-Rent medium room: £820 p/m + bills
-Rent large room: £930 p/m + bills
-Communication is through the landlord. There is no agency involved.
