Description
I’m moving cities, so my lovely room in our first-floor flat on Pembury Road, Hackney is becoming available.🏡
Ideally, the new tenant would move in by 20th February. There’s a little bit of flexibility with this for the right person.
You’d be living with Charlie (25) and Tom (25), a genuinely lovely couple who have made this flat feel like a real home. Tom is in his final year of a Master’s in Architecture, and Charlie works at an architecture firm. They’re creative, kind, and friendly people who enjoy climbing, swimming (Charlie and I have cycled to London Fields Lido once or twice and it's sooo nice in the summer) and cooking and are great at balancing being sociable with being respectful of space. It’s not a party flat, but we’ve always been relaxed about having friends over and keeping things warm and social.
The room itself is an unfurnished double with wooden floors and a built-in wardrobe. It gets gorgeous morning sunlight, while the living room fills with sun in the afternoon thanks to the big windows (one of the best parts of the flat!). The flat is very WFH-friendly, and we’ve been able to make it our own, hanging shelves, mirrors, and pictures, and there’s even a handy little spot for hanging a bike helmet if you cycle. The bathroom and toilet are separate, with a shower and sink in the bathroom (these were new when we moved in last year, so are in a really nice condition). The kitchen is on the smaller side but has been completely manageable for the three of us, and the overall vibe of the flat is calm, cosy, and homely.
Location-wise, we’re a 10-minute walk from both Hackney Central and Hackney Downs, which makes getting around super easy.
Rent is £792 per month, with bills usually coming to around £110 each, which includes council tax. Deposit is £769.05. The contract runs until September, but will become rolling in line with the Renters’ Rights Act coming into effect in May.
We’re looking for someone friendly, considerate, and up for a sociable but calm home, ideally someone who’s working and wants to be part of a nice, respectful flat rather than just renting a room.
Viewings will be happening Saturday evening (7th) and all day Sunday (8th). If this sounds like your vibe, drop a message with a bit about yourself and your availability, and we can take it from there 💌
