What the house is like

The house is a lovely four bed, terraced, with a living room, 2 bathrooms, a green and flowery garden, and a large kitchen with a dining area. It was unfurnished, but we have livened it up with a piano, lots more plants, and the garden has a dining table with grass to sunbathe on. It is a quiet area, behind a canal, with lots of green spaces nearby, and round the corner from the hubbub of Hackney life.

It’s a 7 minute walk from Hackney Wick overground, and 1 minute walk to buses destined for Finsbury Park, Stratford, Stoke Newington and central London. The nearest supermarket is 2 minutes walk away, and Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s are also 5 minutes away.

Amenities
It’s a 5-10 minute walk from Hackney Wick, but also a 10 minute walk from Homerton and Chatsworth Road. In both you will find saunas, trendy cafes, bars, pubs, gyms and the like.

Green spaces
It is seconds away from Mabley Green, a large park with lots of space to sunbathe, a minute from The River Lea Canal, 5 minutes from Hackney Marshes, and a 10 minute walk from Victoria Park.

Who we are looking for :

We're looking for a respectful, friendly and considerate flatmate, who cleans up after themselves and will nurture the house we all love to live in and call our home! We all have our own schedules, so during weekday nights the house is pretty chill, usually with someone around to have a chat with in the evening. On the weekends we're often out and about, but we also have people around for dinner sometimes.

We're open to any gender, but someone roughly between the ages of 24-33, and preferably a female to keep the gender balance. It would be great to find someone who is fun, easygoing, creative, and who wants to join for the odd film night, the pub in winter or a BBQ in summer.

We have made the house a home so we are ideally looking for someone who wants to stay here longer-term, and is keen to sign on the contract for another year in September (we are all planning to).

Current Housemates

Ben is a 26 y/o working in housing policy, in the office 3 days a week and enjoying London life and a project the rest of the time. He has a busy social life but equally loves hanging out at home. en loves music, playing piano (with headphones on a keyboard!), playing football, singing in the shower, tending to the garden, cooking yummy pastas, and reading good fiction books.

Rada

Rada is a 25 y/o PhD student in History Of Art, mainly working from home, and also works at the Courtauld institute of art twice a week. Hailing from Bulgaria, she is a social and cultural butterfly in London, and enjoys hanging with friends, parties, live music, going to the gym, cooking, and literary chat and other chit chat.

Tom

Tom is a 26 y/o filmmaker currently working in content creation, in the office every day of the week. He enjoys spontaneous adventures, hanging with friends and learning new things, be it games, recipes or tunes on the piano. He enjoys playing football (plays 5 a side once a week), good books (in two book clubs), seeing films in IMAX, discovering culture, learning about history and visiting art galleries.

Important info

We have a cleaning rota, which takes 30-60 minutes to do once a fortnight.

Rent is £830. We are planning on renewing the contract in September for another year. The landlords are not estate agents, and we have a good relationship.
Bills (wifi, council tax, water, electricity, gas) are around £70 most of the year, rising to around £100 in winter.

Accessibility: this is a 3-floor house with only stair access between floors. The bedroom is on the first floor and the kitchen and living room are on the ground floor. Bathrooms on the ground and first floor.
