Double room in Hackney Wick - available from 1st September
My sister is moving out of the 2-bed flat we’re renting, so I’m looking for a new flatmate to sign a new 12-month lease starting 1st September.
Room & flat:
The room comes unfurnished. It’s the smaller double room in the flat, but it comfortably fits all the furniture you need, including a desk if you WFH. There’s also storage in the hall for things like coats and suitcases.
We’re on the top floor (2nd) of a modern-ish block in a quiet square. We have a lovely living room that gets loads of morning sunshine, and there’s a shared garden.
The area:
We love living here! The flat is in a great spot less than 10 mins from Hackney Wick station. We’re only 5 mins from Victoria Park in one direction and the canal in the other, and about 30 seconds from the sauna!
There are so many great places for a pint nearby (duh) as well as great coffee shops and restaurants, plus loads of new galleries and arty things opening up in the Olympic Park this year which is super close to us. It’s a really fun place to live!
About me:
I’m Annabel, 28, currently training as an accountant. My office days vary, but I’m generally doing a mix of office days and WFH.
I’m most often found at the pub, but l try to balance that out with the odd run or chilled night with a Netflix K-drama (guilty pleasure, don’t judge me!).
I’m usually pretty busy during the week, but would love a flatmate who’s keen to go for a pint when we’re both around! Ideally looking for a girl around a similar age who’s looking for a friendly, chilled flat.
Money stuff:
Rent is £970
This doesn’t include bills, which typically come to around £140 each. This covers:
- Council tax
- Gas & electric
- WiFi
- Water
The deposit is held in the secure protection scheme, and is £1,038. The new tenant will be subject to referencing checks by the letting agency (Easthaus - they’re great as letting agents go!)
The new tenant needs to be able to submit info for referencing before 1st August, and the lease will start on 1st September.
