Description

My current housemates are moving abroad or in with friends as our tenancy comes to an end, so a couple of rooms have become available in our beautiful four bedroom home in Haggerston. I’ll be sad to see them go, but hoping the house will become home to some new friendly faces who are keen to build a warm and social dynamic.

The house itself is really great. Spread over four floors, it has four double bedrooms and three bathrooms (two en-suites). There is a really big living room, and a good sized south facing kitchen which leads on a private terrace and then onto a large gated communal square. We also have a private south facing roof terrace on the top floor ☀️

As the house is a relatively new build, it’s in great condition - new carpets, freshly painted etc, and the landlords are responsive to fixing problems.

The house is partly furnished, however I’m keen for people to bring in their own items, to help build the environment. Importantly, you will need to kit out your room with beds etc.

Having lived all over the city, I’ve found Haggerston to be a truly liveable community. We are 30 seconds walk from the canal. We’re within 10 min walk of broadway market, and only slightly further on to London fields, Victoria park, and Angel. We are also close to Dalston and Shoreditch, with all the bigger shops you might need and loads of lovely local shops and proper food, and culture.

A little bit about me:
I’m Lare (he/him). I’m a 30 year old, screenwriter and producer working in film, tv and theatre. I have lived in this house for over a year, and East for a few and love it. I spend lots of my time going to and talking about films and plays. I love debating tv/ movies and books, keeping fit and cooking. I love hosting dinners, and cooking for my pals - we’ve hosted birthday parties etc but i wouldn’t describe it as a huge party house.

It’s a great house to have friends and family staying over, and would be great to have people who want to build a respectful and open community. Looking for housemates to both spend time with and become friends (hanging out, dinners, events), but also respect each others lives and space when needed.

I’m really keen to meet people from all backgrounds, and a mix of genders, sexualities and races. I’d love to live with other creatives also, but if that’s not you, still feel free to message ☺️

Unfortunately due to the Landlord referencing students we can’t take students/ masters, and people will need to be able to demonstrate affordability for the room, whether in full term employment, or consistent freelance work (completely out of my control). This usually around 2.5x rent per month.

Looking to wrap things up pretty ASAP as referencing can be a bit long, so will be meeting people on a rolling basis until the rooms are filled.

Will be hosting viewings from 20th March.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out. And if reaching out to join the house, then please say a little about yourself - (age, job and what you’re looking for in a house etc.) - sorry to the introverts, but it’s helpful 🙏🏾 And also how long you’re hoping to stay - Ideally want people to stay for at least a year.

The 3 rooms going are:

Room 1 - Ground floor en-suite (£1150). This is a big room, (15sq. m) with more than enough space for a wardrobe, and desk. It has a washing facilities in the en-suite, which we make work and shouldn’t be an issue, and is also very light with a large window.

Room 2 - Second floor double (£1100). This is a large room (13sq. m) with floor to ceiling windows, that’s face into the large internal courtyard. This room shares a 3 piece-bathroom, is south facing and super bright. There is also a built in double wardrobe just outside the room.

Room 3 - Second floor double room (£1025). This is a large double (12sq. m) with floor to ceiling windows. This room shares a 3 piece-bathroom and has a built in double wardrobe just outside the room.

Hoping it’s clear from the photos which is which, but can explain if it isn’t. Open to couples also, especially for the en-suite, which will change the rental split.

Also pairs of friends welcome!

Bills come to around £100-130 a month which includes a bi-weekly cleaner.

** Note: There is currently scaffolding on the building, but it should be gone by May.

Excited to hear from all of you 🥰
