Description
We’re looking for a laid back flatmate to join us in our home starting mid-December as we bid farewell to our flatmate Tim who is moving in with his girlfriend.
About us
We are 5 people (you would be our 6th!), two couples [Freddie (30F), Henry (32M), Katie (30F), Dexter (30M)] and our strapping Jack (31M), all hailing from New Zealand. We’ve been in London for 3-4 years now, working across tech, medicine and law.
We coalesce around similar hobbies; live gigs, comedy, perusing the Vietnamese mile, padel in the weekends but are also all independent with our own groups of friends. We would like somebody who would be up for joining in house meals, movies and drinks.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a great attitude! You’re ideally 28-34 (minimum age of 28 here sorry folks), have been living in London for a while and have your own thing going on but are also interested in engaging with flat life (sharing a drink around the dinner table, chatting in the kitchen etc.). You’ve lived in a shared flat set up before and like the ebbs and flows of a large flat share.

The room
This is a double room with lots of light and ample storage (closet in the hallway outside your room). You would share the bathroom with Jack (Jack is leaving in February/March so potential to bring in a friend here). There is also an opportunity to buy the bed/mattress, desk and chest of drawers.
We’ve been in the flat for over a year now- the location is a highlight, we are in between the Haggerston and Hoxton Overground stations, with Broadway Market/London Fields and Regents Canal on our doorstep. As for the flat itself, there’s a back terrace area which we use in the summer, living room and the kitchen (rather small but that doesn’t stop us whipping up some culinary delights!).
The details
Rent for the room is 800 p/m (will likely go up next September when we have our lease renewal) with bills 140 p/m (covers council tax, bills, wifi and a cleaner every 2 weeks). You would not immediately be going on the lease but we would look to transfer you on there sometime over the year.
Target move in date would be Dec 20.
We will be holding flat viewings evenings of Sun 17/Mon 18 Nov and also Tue 26/Wed 27 Nov 6-9pm. This will be an opp to meet some of us, and view the room.
