We’re looking for a laid back couple to join us in our home starting mid-April.
About us
We are 4 people (you would be our 5th & 6th!), Jackson (31M) + Ellen (28F) + another couple Freddie (31F) & Henry (32M). We're a mixed bunch (NZ, AUS // Ireland // Switzerland) and we’ve been in London for 3-4 years now, working across tech, law, film and social work sectors,
We coalesce around similar hobbies; live gigs, comedy, perusing the Vietnamese mile, tennis in the weekends but are also all independent with our own groups of friends. We would like somebody who would be up for joining in house meals, movies and drinks.
About you
We’re looking for a duo with great attitudes! You’re ideally 28-33 (minimum age of 27 here sorry folks), have been living in London for a while and have your own thing going on but are also interested in engaging with flat life (sharing a drink around the dinner table, chatting in the kitchen etc.). You’ve lived in a shared flat set up before and like the ebbs and flows of a large flat share.

The room
This is a double room with it's own ensuite, and good privacy on the ground floor. There is also an opportunity to buy the bed/mattress and perhaps some other things in the room.
We’ve been in the flat for 1.5 years now- the location is a highlight, we are in between the Haggerston and Hoxton Overground stations, with Broadway Market/London Fields and Regents Canal on our doorstep. As for the flat itself, there’s a back terrace area which we use in the summer, living room and the kitchen (rather small but that doesn’t stop us whipping up some culinary delights!).
The details
Rent for the room is 1200 p/m for a couple (potential to go up ~5% in September when we have our lease renewal) with bills 140 p/m each (covers council tax, bills, wifi and a cleaner every 2 weeks), totalling 1480 p/m all in for the pair of you. The deposit is 1790 (895 each).
You would not immediately be going on the lease but we would look to transfer you on there sometime over the year.
Target move in date would be April 18.
We will be holding flat viewings evenings of Tue 11th, Thu 13th, Sat 15th, Sun 16th and Tue 18th/Wed 19th/Thu 20th March. This will be an opp to meet some of us, and view the room.
