Description
With my best friend (reluctantly) moving out after having lived here for 3 years as she’s going on to complete her final year of med school placement, I’m looking for someone to replace her in our lovely flat - ideally you’d be here longer term.
The flat itself is on the first floor (only flat in the building, not a shared entrance) of a recently renovated Victorian terrace right by Hampstead Heath, so an amazing location with everything you need right at your doorstep (including the Overground a 2 min walk away, multiple bus stops and the Northern Line a 10 min walk away too).
The flat is 2 bed with the door on the ground floor, steps up to an airy hallway, a bright spacious bathroom with rain shower on a mezzanine floor and then a modern galley kitchen with a gas cooker, electric oven, built in microwave, washer dryer, dishwasher, and separate fridge & freezer.
We don’t have a living room but the bedrooms are well sized doubles and as professionals we’re usually out and about anyway, so it’s hardly something we notice.
The flat is unfurnished, but my flatmate is potentially happy to leave a few things behind if helpful. The wardrobe and shelves visible on picture are built in. There are also wall lights that frame where a double bed goes, and the bedroom and kitchen lights are dimmer switches which is nice. I have a kitchen table and chairs as well as appliances, but otherwise it’s totally up to you how you decorate (I’ve personally loved this freedom and it’s fuelled my Facebook marketplace search mania).
I’m 23 and work in corporate Public Relations in the City, but I studied English at Uni (Bristol!) and am a big reader/writer. I love art-based activities – whether that’s going to galleries, museums, book talks, or gigs – and I usually spend my weekends between coffee shops writing and wandering the Heath. It’d be great to live with someone who is down to scout out new interesting places to go to (to get a drink/eat some good food/see new art of some kind/pick up a new hobby) but also v happy to leave you to yourself of course!
Am a person people would probably say is quite Type A, so ideally looking for a tidy flatmate to match but I’m not altogether hugely fussed. Would love to meet for a coffee if you’re interested in the room!
Council Tax Band C
Only just started paying own bills, so currently unsure of average just yet but will update as soon as I do have a figure
(Room can be available either mid August or into September, my flatmate is just figuring out the details but can be fairly flexible if it’s helpful!)
