Bright Double Room in Large Modern Family Home

Immaculate double bedroom available in our large, modern family home for either a full-time let (£550 pcm) or a Mon - Fri let (£400 pcm). All bills, cleaning & linen incl. Perfect for a considerate, non-smoking, friendly person. Excellent references available from our most recent lodger, who stayed with us for 2 years.

We’re offering a great deal for the perfect person – a really low rent in exchange for someone who can be super quiet (the bedroom is on the floor directly above the children’s bedroom), who really doesn’t need to use the kitchen much and who is happy to more or less keep to themselves. We are really friendly, I promise, but just also need our personal space!

Rent includes all bills, weekly cleaning of the bedroom by our cleaner, and the use of all amenities (broadband, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc). Bed linen and towels can also be provided and changed every 2 weeks if so required. A TV (freeview), DVD player and small desk - it may be a bit of a squeeze, but it's possible) can also be provided if needed.

The room is available immediately and we'd like someone who can commit to a minimum of a month and thereafter continue on a rolling monthly basis.

You will be sharing with a professional family with 2 children (ages 9 and 6 years), however your bedroom will be on the top floor of the house so you will have plenty of your own space and peace and quiet.

The room would ideally suit a professional or student who is out of the house for most of the day and happy to keep things quiet and to themselves when they are home. We are looking for someone who is considerate, happy to tidy up after yourself and who allows us our own space in the evenings. In return you’ll have a bright double bedroom in a big, modern, well-maintained and clean house with a very welcoming atmosphere.

The room has a comfortable double bed, double-door wardrobe, a huge bookcase and some shelves. Being on the top (2nd) floor of the house it is peaceful and has a lovely view over the rooftops of Hanwell and it gets sunshine in the afternoon. You would have use of the modern shower-room on this floor. As it's a family home, our one request is that the room is for your single occupancy only – this means no overnight visitors please.

Our house is double-glazed with central heating throughout. In total there are 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom, a beautiful through-flow lounge and dining room with wooden floors, a high-spec modern kitchen (with American-style fridge freezer, range cooker, dishwasher) leading out onto a large deck overlooking our sunny south-facing 60ft garden.

We are only a couple of minutes’ walk from Hanwell train station, so access to central London (Paddington, 12 minutes) and Heathrow airport (15 minutes) are extremely convenient. The house is also a short bus ride to Ealing Broadway, Boston Manor and Northfields for the local underground stations (Central, District and Piccadilly lines) and is also a few minutes’ walk from a number of large parks and the river for picnics, riverside walks and bike rides. There are local grocers, restaurants and shops a few hundred meters away and also a golf course and tennis courts very nearby.

There is on-road permit parking available at a cost as we are in a CPZ.
