Description

I have a double room available from 1st December 2024 for female occupant. Clean, tidy house in a quiet cul-de-sac. Lockable side gate access to secure rear garden, suitable for cyclists. Plenty of car parking spaces in street outside house (parking permit required between 8am to 6pm). Good access to public transport, bus routes 5mins walk; underground and overground within 15-20mins walk. Utility bills & WiFi included. You will be living with the house owner and sole occupier (except a freindly furry squatter of the feline variety). I work away from home approx 2-3days/week and may ask you to feed the squatter and put the bins out while I'm away if my neighbour isn't available.
I would prefer my lodger to be a mature, sociable, independent, broadminded, female professional with a busy lifestyle.
I cook fish & meat regularly (including pork), I also enjoy vegetarian food and like to share a meal with my lodger from time to time. We will be sharing a kitchen & fridge, so please consider this if you have any allergies, intolerance or aversion to certain foods.
Visitors are very welcome with prior notice but no overnight guests will be allowed.
You will be expected to keep your room clean and also pay reasonable attention to cleaning up after yourself when using the bathroom and kitchen. Laundrette facilities are situated within 3mins walk and there is an outside clothes drying line in the garden.
No smoking or vaping in your room or the house please but you can smoke/vape in the garden/patio.
References will be requested from your current employer and previous landlord. I will also ask for photo ID (passport or driving licence) and proof of your previous address.
An inventory of room contents and a lodger agreement will be discussed and signed off between us prior to moving in.
