Description

Hi there!
Here’s a bit about what the place is like and who we’re looking for...

The house:
It’s a pretty spacious five-bedroom Victorian terrace house on top of the hill on the Harringay ladder. The house has a well-sized communal lounge, large kitchen, garden, and plenty of storage space in the basement. The décor is a little dated, but it’s nice, clean and very homely with all necessary appliances in place.

The area is well connected with Harringay and Manor House stations nearby, as well as plenty of busses. Local shops are really good for fresh fruit and veg whilst those loving Turkish food will not be disappointed either.

The housemates:
We’re an established house-share, all professionals in our 20s and 30s. Jared is a maths lecturer, Niámh works in biomedical animation, Kate works in insurance compliance, and Ed works in consultancy. We're into music, learning languages, gardening, as well as cooking and a good book.
We're generally pretty busy doing our own things so not everyone is around all the time, but we do enjoy each other’s company. We often watch tv and movies together, and from time to time we have a house meal and play some board games.

The room:
A large, light bedroom on the second floor at the front window, with a bay window looking over the street. The room is furnished with a bed, chest of drawers, desk, and clothes rail.

House rules:
We believe that keeping the house clean and tidy at all times plays an important role in the wellbeing of a large house-share and everyone is expected to participate here. We try to be on top of things starting with washing up after cooking/eating and helping to keep shared areas clear and clean. You will be responsible for cleaning all shared spaces thoroughly once every five weeks on a rotating basis, along with the rest of us. It might sound like a lot of work, but it’s only an hour or two once in a while.

We like to have gatherings and enjoy the occasional party. However, regular loud late nights aren’t what we do.

Numbers:
The house is managed by an agency but owned by a private landlord. Rent is £550 plus all the usual bills on top of that - council tax, gas and electricity, water and internet. Council tax is currently £43 per month (the property is Band E). Upon moving in you’d be required to pay a one month security deposit plus agency admin fees.

If you think this could be for you, get in touch and don't be shy to tell us a bit about yourself! We are currently arranging viewings for this week and next.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
