A good-sized double room overlooking the garden available to rent in a 4-bed Victorian terraced house in Harringay.
The room is £875 pcm + bills (approx £106pcm and includes gas, electric, water, wifi and council tax). The room comes with only a wardrobe inside, but if you need other furnishings such as a bed or dresser you may be able to ask the landlord to provide those as they were offered with the room originally.
In the house there is a generously sized shared living room, a large kitchen-diner, a garden, storage space under the stairs, a bathroom (with a bath) and a second toilet downstairs. The kitchen is very well kitted out with an electric oven, gas hob, two fridge freezers, slow cooker, espresso machine, coffee grinder etc.
You would be sharing the house with three lovely flatmates - Grace from New Zealand, working as a fund manager for the Royal Society, Cat from Bristol, a drama teacher who’s just started a masters in drama therapy, and Jess from Ireland, also working in funding for a charity. There is also a cat called Olive who belongs to Jess.
It's a 5 min walk from Hornsey train station and 8 mins to Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly line). There’s also the overground at Harringay Green Lanes about 15 mins away on foot. Well connected bus routes to London Bridge, Camden, Tottenham Hale etc.
Green Lanes is on your doorstep with great food and nightlife, Wood Green is a short walk away and has lots of shopping facilities including a market, and Crouch End is equally close by for a more up-market vibe with bars, restaurants and an arthouse cinema. For outdoor spaces, Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace are both around 15-20 min walks away.
The current rental agreement runs out on March 8th 2025, but I expect that the landlord will offer to renew it for another year (perhaps with a small rent increase). So as long as your other housemates want to stay, or you can find others to replace them, then you may be able to stay for another year from March.
