Description
Hello!
We're looking for a friendly and sociable housemate to join us in our gorgeous Victorian terrace on the Harringay Ladder (N8).
The double bedroom is downstairs with views out onto the garden and you'll have your own set of French doors. Elsewhere in the house we have a living room, large dining room and kitchen, conservatory, garden and shared office space. There are three bedrooms upstairs, and a bathroom with a bath/shower and additional toilet downstairs.
The house is on a quiet residential road, with on street permit parking. There's also bike storage outside.
We have a lovely garden (particularly great in summer) which has plenty of potential for those of you with green fingers. Every year we dabble and commit to deweeding the place with the best of intentions but alas, life often gets in the way. Come make it a suburban paradise (or at least somewhere you can have a barbecue).
*About the area*
Great transport links!
10-15 min walk to Turnpike Lane tube (Piccadilly Line), 10-15 min walk to Hornsey national rail (to Moorgate), 10-15 min walk to Harringay Green Lanes overground, and plenty of buses too!
Food wise, you've got an Aldi, Big Sainsburys, lots of coffee shops and some *great* Turkish food and newsagents.
*Key info*
The room is available for 5 months until the end of the tenancy, with a view to renew the contract come the 1st July. Our preference would be someone who is looking to make this their home for the long term.
We rent through a letting agents, but have always found communication with them and the landlord to be swift and fair.
We tend to split the cost of household things like loo roll, cleaning products etc.
Rent: £743pcm + typically £132 in bills
Deposit: 5 weeks rent
Move in date: late Jan / early Feb
Letting agents will need references and evidence of income and/or a guarantor.
*Who we're looking for*
A woman / enby who is 25+ and has that classic balance of being friendly, clean and 'liking their own space';
Ideally, we'd want someone who works at least some of the week in the office, but the most important thing is finding the right fit for the house.
We're LGBTQ+ / veggie friendly! Let us know a bit about yourself, and if it seems like a good fit, we can sort a viewing.
*A bit about us*
We've lived in the house for 2.5 years and love the local area.
Ellie (26) works in publishing and loves reading, running and a good chai latte. Gina (26) works as a midwife and loves Bob's Burgers and a good mooch in the shop. Eden (27) works in the arts and enjoys writing, walks in nature and eating large amounts of tiramisu.
It's worth noting we work full time a range of different hours, including night shifts and mostly on site.
