Description
Hello, we have started our search early to hopefully find a good match for our home, which is a quirky flat in Manor House, Omega Works, N4, available at the end of January 2026 only.
The room would suit someone 30+ who is mature, friendly, playful, self-efficient and wants a home rather than just a room. It's a calm, clean, and happy flat, with music practice and loads of cooking. We chat and catch up often, but also have downtime to ourselves. We would describe the flat as eco, alternative, very open-minded, spiritual, supportive, creative, playful, honest, and homely. It's not a party house, and we would class ourselves as 'sober-ish' as we all sometimes enjoy ourselves that way outside the flat, but it's not a big part or need in our lives or home anymore. It's a non-smoking room and flat, unless at big gatherings where we smoke next to windows. There is a cute seating area outside for smoking. We seek a flatmate who is on a similar page.
Although we occasionally have some birthday parties and gatherings at the flat. We also use the living room for occasional chill workshops and gatherings. However, the flat's layout makes it easy to avoid hearing it and being in your room away from it if you prefer. Happy for gatherings to be a group effort.
We make an effort to meet all together monthly for dinner or an event where we can talk about flat stuff too.
Two of us WFH often. Therefore, the current room is more suited to someone who is not WFH full-time.
We're all friendly, very calm, communicative and creative. We like to chat about the world, politics, art, and we come from very liberal and alternative backgrounds. We're three people: two women and one guy. You would be the fourth. We are LGBTQ+ friendly.
We are passionate about and work with music, instruments, psychology, health, food, nature, history, travel, dancing, singing, cats, and spirituality. We are all young at heart still; we are a mixed group, with Europeans and a Londoner, and we have one vegetarian and the other two who eat/cook meat/fish.
Heating and water are included, so the space stays nice and warm year-round. The flat is really cosy in the winter, as it's well-insulated and has good double-glazed windows. We have a large kitchen, a large separate lounge and two bathrooms.
We also have a bunch of neighbourhood cats who occasionally come around to visit, so other crazy cat lovers are welcome.
The flat is unfortunately not suitable for a dog.
Rent is £695 per month plus remaining bills (just electric and internet), bi-weekly cleaner and house supplies, usually around an estimated £50/60 extra per month. The notice period is one month long, and we require a five-week deposit. It's a Private landlord. Therefore, there are no additional fees or agencies involved. The room is unfurnished. But it's really easy to find furniture in the area (most of it given away for free).
Omega Works is a former factory that has been converted into flats and business units. It's pretty chill compared to other warehouses. But it is a creative area.
There are loads of busier warehouses and Green lanes very nearby.
Excellent transport links and supermarkets are conveniently located nearby.
As a private unit, you will need to be proactive in fixing, cleaning, and maintaining the property, as the landlord is very hands-off (incept for big repairs) and we work as a team with no hierarchy or manager.
We like to keep the communal areas clean and homely for each other. However, that also means we have cheaper rent, and you can make the room your own and do as you wish.
We love to make the flat quirky and homely, and always add and change the decor.
The room comes completely unfurnished. It also has some communal stairs above it and a small external window partially blocked by those stairs. As such, there is not loads of natural light but some as seen in the photos. However, you can get fresh air from outside. You can occasionally hear the main door and stairs from the room. Although it's not very loud, footfall is low, and the area is overall tranquil and peaceful.
The rooms and flat are very spacious and well-built, like a typical flat with a quirky layout. Not a typical warehouse vibe/look.
If the ad is still up, it means it's still available; no need to ask. Please message us and let us know a bit about yourself and how we might be a good fit.
