Description
Hello! We are on the lookout to find a great match for our quirky, cosy flat in Manor House (Omega Works, N4), available from 1st February 2026.
The room would suit someone 28+ish who’s mature, creative, friendly, curious, playful, self-sufficient, and looking for a home, not just a room. The flat is calm, clean, happy, and full of cooking and music-making (the practice areas are well sound insulated). But a lot of quiet times too. We chat and connect a lot, but also respect downtime. We'd describe the space as eco, alternative, open-minded, spiritual, supportive, creative, playful, honest, with clear communication and very homely. It’s not a party house. We’re “sober-ish” — we enjoy ourselves occasionally outside the flat, but it’s not a big focus at home or in our lives anymore. It's a non-smoking flat and room (we are all non smokers), with smoking only by the windows for guests at gatherings or outside in the seating area. We’re looking for someone on a similar wavelength.
We do sometimes host birthday gatherings, chill workshops or jams in the living room, but the layout makes it easy to retreat to your room if you prefer. We’re happy for gatherings to be a shared effort. We also try to meet monthly for a group dinner or event to check in about flat stuff and socialise intentionally.
We’re three friendly, calm, communicative, creative people (two women and one guy), Ages 34-42, from liberal and alternative backgrounds — you’d be the fourth. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Our interests include music, instruments, world issues, psychology, health, food, witchy stuff, fermenting, plants, nature, travel, dancing, arts, alternative events, singing, health, cats, creative projects, conversation and spirituality.
We're a mixed group (Mixed, Europeans + a Londoner), friends, very young at heart, with one vegetarian and two meat/fish eaters.
We don't have a communal TV because we spend our time in the flat talking, cooking/eating, and pursuing our interests. But have a projector for the odd movie.
Heating and water are included, so the flat stays warm year-round. It's well insulated, with double glazing, a large kitchen, a separate lounge, and two bathrooms. We also have a few neighbourhood cats who visit — fellow cat lovers welcome. Sadly, not suitable for a dog.
**Rent:** £695 pcm + bills (electric, internet, bi-weekly cleaner, shared house supplies), usually around £50–60 extra. One-month notice, five-week deposit. Private landlord — no agency. The room is unfurnished, but it’s easy to find free or cheap furniture locally as it's the norm in the area. You also have free rein to decorate your room.
Omega Works is a converted factory with a relaxed, creative vibe — calmer than many warehouses. Great transport links, large supermarkets nearby, and Green Lanes close by.
As the landlord is very hands-off (except for big repairs), we work as a proactive team to maintain and care for the flat. We keep communal spaces clean and cosy, enjoy decorating, and like making the place feel truly homely. We are currently redecorating the flat. The flat is peaceful, quiet, modern, spacious, and solidly built — quirky layout, but not typical warehouse-style living.
If the ad's still up, it's still available — no need to ask. Please message us with a bit about yourself and why you think we'd be a good fit together 😊 (Hint: we are more interested in you as a person and how you will use and be in the flat than your work/achievements)
