Large double available in Victorian house

Hi there,


We are three women in our 30s, looking for a new housemate as our current housemate is moving out to new abodes. The new tenancy would begin from 4 November, until next September (with hope to extend!).

About the room & house:
We live in a beautiful 4 bed in Harringay Ladder and the available room is a big double with a bay window and stunning fitted wardrobes that are floor to ceiling. More than enough room for a desk to WFH as well.

There is a separate living room and a kitchen-diner (with a dishwasher), as well as a garden. There is 1 bathroom, 1 toilet and a small office room / study.

Rent is £890 / month and the deposit is £875. Bills (internet, water, gas + electric, council tax) are about £130 / person at the moment.

The house has great transport links: 5 mins walk to Harringay train station (3 mins train to Finsbury Park station where you can get the Victoria and Piccadilly line). Buses are 5 mins walk away and Harringay Green Lanes overground is 9 min walk.

About you:
We’re looking for a woman of similar age (late 20s-mid 30s), who is friendly, clean and considerate of shared spaces - we’d love to keep the vibe of the house feeling like a home with a new housemate, where we can be friends whilst also being independent with our own social circles.

A little bit about us:
We are Shalaka, Jenny and Iona - We all met on Spareroom and are now friends, we’ve lived together for about 3 years. We’re all sociable and friendly people and our weekdays are usually taken up by work, meeting up with friends, cooking, chilling, gymming, etc - the usual. Weekends tend to be a mix of fun events and downtime - we’ll sometimes have pre-drinks or parties, but we’re not a “party house”. We all have our own things going on but also have a lovely home-y vibe and try to do things together regularly too 😊

Shalaka: hellooo, I work in diversity & inclusion at a nonprofit and am a sociable gal that enjoys hanging out with friends, doing exercise classes, going on runs, dancing whenever I can, cooking meals, and watching a good crime drama (or trash reality TV - it’s one of the other). 🥳

Jenny - Hello! I'm a final year Nutrition & Dietetics Student. Moved to London 3 years ago from Wales. Working 9 - 5 at an NHS placement, and work some evenings at a yoga studio. I love spending time with friends, practicing yoga, and going out to gigs / music events.💃

Iona: I work in fundraising for a charity and my weeks are a mix of office & wfh. Love a combo of cosy evenings in with the house and brunch / dins / out and about with friends, yoga, walking, movie nights in & out, leftie politics & demos, and always down for a cuppa and chat â%9D£️
