Description
Hi! My current flatmate is moving out, so there’s a large double room available in our charming two-bedroom Victorian flat just a short walk from Turnpike Lane station (Piccadilly Line).
💸 Price: £735 per month
🧾 Bills: Around £150, including electricity, gas, council tax, and internet. Thames water is about £80 every six months.
*Prices might change a bit depending on how much we use and the time of year.
🛏️ The Room
• A spacious double room with high ceilings, tall windows, and carpeted floors.
• It’s already furnished with a desk, chair, chest of drawers, clothes rack, and a bookshelf (or you can leave it unfurnished if you prefer).
• The windows open onto an internal garden of our neighbour, so it’s super quiet and the view is just chill
* Optional bed frame that my flatmate is selling for £70 and mattress is not included.
🏠 The Flat
• A bright and cosy living room with a sofa bed (I’ll add pictures later as I tidy up while my flatmate moves things around, but you can see it during viewings).
• A shared kitchen with all the essentials, including a fridge and freezer, fan oven, washing machine, and dishwasher. Plus, a clean and functional bathroom (I’ll add pictures later, but you can see it during viewings while we wait for the cleaning company to come next week).
• The top floor of a Victorian house on a quiet, leafy street.
• Super fast WiFi, Community Fibre 1Gbps.
*The room will be available from November 1st, as long as all the credit checks are done with the agency beforehand.
🌇 The area
. This road is super quiet, and it’s lovely to stroll around with just houses all around. It’s only an 8-minute walk to Turnpike Lane on the Piccadilly line, just 15 minutes to Oxford Circus.
. There are tons of green spaces nearby, like Downhills Park, which is just a 6-minute walk . You can also find Alexandra Park and Finsbury Park a couple of stops away.
. There are lots of family-run coffee shops and restaurants in the area.
. You can easily get to Sainsbury’s Local and Tesco on a 8 minutes walk, or five bus stops to a huge Sainsbury’s in Hornsey.
👋 About Me
I’m Argentinian and Italian, so I also speak Spanish and Italian. I grew up in Buenos Aires and lived in Italy, France, and Ibiza before settling in London.
I’ve been into electronic music since the start, which is why I ended up living in Ibiza for a while. I enjoy lots of different styles and tend to go out a lot, especially in the summer.
I also really enjoy gaming, which has been a big passion of mine since the early nineties.
I consider myself a spiritual person who’s open-minded and loves diving into inner work and personal growth. Communication is super important to me, especially when you’re living with someone new and in a space like a two-person house.
I’ll appreciate someone motivated on making the house a really chill, clean, tidy, and beautiful place to live in.
I work full-time in the tech industry and have different shifts, usually out during the day and around in the evenings.
I’m a self-described extroverted introvert—I enjoy a chat, a casual chat, or a deeper one, and the occasional shared dinner or glass of wine. But I also really value downtime and personal space.
I’m looking for someone who’s clean, considerate, and easygoing—ideally a working professional (not WFH, please) who wants a relaxed, respectful home and is great at communicating to prevent friction, frustrations, and bad vibes :)
📝 Important things to know
. This house is managed by the Housing Association, not a letting agency or a landlord. That means better prices and fairer annual rises that match the inflation rates (this year was only £80 for the whole flat).
They’ve got a bunch of different properties, and they’ve been super helpful with maintenance or replacing appliances when needed!
Just so you know, both of our names will be on the contract, and it’s for a year. Even then, you’ll need to find someone to take over the contract if you decide to move out, like my flatmate is doing now.
All the arrangements and paperwork will be handled between the new tenant and the Housing association. They’ll ask for credit checks, annual income, and other things before you can move in.
Furniture or appliances besides the basic ones mentioned in the ad are personal, so you can bring your own things, or we can chat about buying new ones for the flat together.
We’ll organise the cleaning of the shared spaces, and I’m happy to split the costs for a cleaner or create a rota for us.
