Finsbury Park 🌳 Green Lanes 🍷🥗 Stroud Green/Crouch Hill
sadly for me (but happily for you?!) my bff/flatmate is moving out of our Harringay home and into the flat she's bought. We've had a really lovely peaceful time full of comic relief and wines.
I'm looking for someone chill and thoughtful to make themselves at home in the free cosy double room -- from January 19th until March or April 2026.
Although the flat's halfway up the Harringay ladder, just off Green Lanes with all its fun, we originally chose it because we love that it's on a quiet leafy street. Also because it has a separate living room and kitchen (inc. dishwasher) despite being a 2-bed flat, which is sweet value. The living room and the bedroom in question both get a nice blast of sunlight during the day. We are also lucky to have a reasonable landlord, who hires a couple of very responsive maintenance guys for the property.
I'm gregarious and have a pretty busy social life, but also love to laze around watching bad tv or cooking spicy italian food. When I'm feeling less self indulgent on the other hand I like running around all of our plentiful nearby green spaces. I'm a historian of early modern gender at the university of London, but also tutor online for a bit of extra cash. So I end up splitting my weekdays between Bloomsbury and home; the room would suit someone who is not full-time WFH, to give us a bit more space to juggle.
My goals for our happy home are to feel relaxed, sometimes be chatty, and to keep it nice and clean. The right housemate is someone whose own impulse (like mine) is to wash up immediately after eating, and to spend a hot sec mopping a floor that doesn't feel fresh.
If I sound like a nice fit please send me a message confirming that those move in/out dates work for you, and telling me a bit about yourself.
[We have all the usual amenities, and with bills (including Council Tax band C and fast wifi) it comes to about 1100 (although our gas + leccy tariff is looking likely to decrease soon, which will shave some of that off).]
