✨Small Double Room in Harringay (available asap) ✨
(Reposting with photos!)
Hi! I've just moved into a gorgeous 2-bedroom flat in Harringay, right on the ladder - super close to cute cafes, yummy Turkish food & grocers, and I've spied a couple of wine bars that look amazing! It's a 10 min walk to Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly line) or a quick bus to Manor House. There's a Tesco Express 1 min away and a Sainsbury's superstore 10 mins away.
For those who love walks/ runs - its close to both Finsbury Park and Alexandra Park/ Palace (which'll be amazing come spring/ summer!). There's an Anytime Fitness 2 mins away and a Gym Group about 10 mins away.
About the Flat & Room:
The flat is pretty much furnished (i. e. couches in living room, telly with stand, kitchen table, cooking appliances) but it's missing some key pieces to really make it a home, so I'm looking for someone who either wants to slowly add to the space with me over time (splitting costs, of course!) or someone who has their stuff and needs a space that isn't completely furnished/ full! It has a big living room and pretty spacious kitchen (with underfloor heating!) and has wooden floors throughout.
The available room is unfurnished, and on the smaller end (I've split rent according to room dimensions), but the previous tenant had a double bed, a small desk and a chest of drawers there, so it can definitely fit that much, but as it's unfurnished - it's really up to you!
About me:
I'm 29 and have just moved back to London from Malaysia, where I'm from. I work for a corporate investigations firm and am in the office 3 days a week, WFH 2. I'm really into running and fitness (ran my first marathon in Nov!), exploring new places in the city, reading, and watching movies/ binge watching trash tv (sucker for Love is Blind). I'm pretty extroverted, but obviously also love my downtime and often need to recharge on a couch after a long day at work hehe. I'm usually at home weekday nights, and no longer have the energy to go on nights out very often, that being said I love to grab a drink with friends at the weekend.
I'm pretty particular with cleanliness, and would ideally like to get a cleaner in bi-weekly, and otherwise am looking for someone who has similar standards. That being said, I also wouldn't consider myself a clean freak and am not going to obsess over a couple of dishes in the sink overnight or a bit of mess in the living room!
About you:
I'm fairly open and honestly the biggest thing to me is meeting and hopefully vibing, but here are a few requirements (mine/ the landlord's):
- Female/ NB ideally between 26 and 35
- no students or couples (sorry!!)
- must have right to rent in the UK and earn over £32k (to pass referencing)
- no pets
Price, Contract & Move In Bits:
£905 per month excluding bills (approx. £175)
I've just signed the lease (13th Dec), which is a 12-month contract with a 6-month break clause, but am really hoping to stay longer (and would like someone who ideally would want to as well).
Sorry this is so long (fair warning, I sometimes ramble in person too..) but in short, I'm looking for someone who wants to make this place a home and ideally for a friend rather than just a flatmate (with all the normal caveats of I also love my own space + have existing friends etc etc haha). I think the flat would be perfect for having a couple of friends over and hosting dinners occasionally, and I'm looking for someone who is like-minded and wants to create that space with me.
Drop me a message if you'd like to arrange a viewing!
