Description
We are looking for a new tenant to join our 4-person queer friendly household in Tottenham. You will be joining Ruan (30, they/them), Clara (31, she/her) and Kat (32, she/they). We all work in a mixture of the arts, community and non-profit sector. You would be joining a rolling tenancy agreement. We are looking for someone who is looking to stay for ideally at least 12 months.
Age: 28+ preferred
Move in date: 4th of June.
Fee: £635 rent plus bills which come to around £115 per month, with water bill paid bi-annually at around £80
Deposit: £807.69
CHECKS AND ELIGIBILITY: References and checks will need to be done by the estate agents (Hunters Estates who manage the house on behalf of a landlady). Hunters will want to see 3 months bank statements and payslips and contracts of employment. If you don't meet their income/job requirements you will need a guarantor. (Two of us are freelancers and had to have guarantors due to not meeting threshold income but was fine with guarantors). Open to people who receive benefits but will need a guarantor if the amount you receive doesn't fully cover the cost of the rent.
FACILITIES: Kitchen, living room, spare room, main bathroom, downstairs toilet (all communal between 4 people)
ACCESSIBILITY:
- bedroom is on the 1st floor, access via staircase only (around 16 stairs)
- Access to both front and back door via one step
- Kitchen access via one descending step
- Downstairs toilet at the back of the kitchen
- Main bathroom (toilet, bath and shower) accessible via staircas. No grip rails.
LOCATION: The house is located a 10 minute walk from Tottenham Hale station and 10 minute walk from Seven Sisters, both on the Victoria line, 10 minute journey to Kings Cross, or 20 min journey to Oxford Circus! Loads of amazing bus links just a 6 minute walk away, where buses regularly depart to Dalston/Stoke Newington/Hoxton/Shoreditch
There’s a huge Tesco about a 6 minute walk away, or we live within walking distance to a retail shopping park, including Lidl, B&Q, Next, Boots, JD Sports and more. It’s an amazing area with some great nightlife and cool things close by (The Post Bar, lots of different amazing Colombian restaurants and Seven Sisters Market)
VIBES: We all met through living together and whilst we have our own lives and friends we also hang out in the house and do things together and often hang out in kitchen or living room and garden in summer. Not a party flat but we do occasionally host dinners for friends and have friends/partners around. We all really value the house being a peaceful place that we can come back to from our busy work/lives and know largely what to expect.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Our ideal housemate would be kind, friendly, clean, reliable and a good communicator. No terfs no Zionists please and thank you. We can also sadly not accept any pets due as two of us are allergic!
VIEWINGS: I will be doing a video call with people I feel are a match just to have a quick chat and answer any questions.
