Large room in 2-bed garden flat in Harringay

Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to share a lovely two-bed, one living room garden flat in Harringay, N4. It's a lovely big bedroom in a house that is a home :)

ABOUT THE FLAT:

The flat is located a stone’s throw from Green Lanes high street and Harringay Green Lanes overground station (Suffragette line). It's also less than a five-minute walk from the Arena shopping park which includes a Sainsbury’s and an Aldi. The closest tube station is Manor House (Piccadilly line Zone 2,3) about a 12min walk away. You can take the Piccadilly line and change super easily to the Victoria line in Finsbury park (accross the platform).

Harringay Green Lanes is a great high street with lots of little grocery shops, cafés and delicious Turkish and Kurdish food, lots of parks and Green spaces nearby.

The flat has two double bedrooms and a living room. There is one shared bathroom with a bathtub and a nice kitchen with a gas stove, and, of course, the garden.

The bedroom is available unfurnished or part-furnished, as you can take over a double bed and some other furniture items from the current tenant. It's the bigger bedroom in the flat.

COULD WE BE FLATMATES?

My name is Ruth (she/her), I’m a 27-year-old (28 by the time you move in ;) researcher for a non-profit. I’m very open and love a chat, but also value having time to myself.

As this is a two-person house share, it’s quite important to me that we have a good vibe.

I moved into this flat with a friend two years ago, she is moving out and I’m staying. It’s a progressive household politically.

I would say that I bring a medium amount of my social life home and would prefer someone with a similar approach. To me, that means having friends over occasionally, maybe someone visiting for a weekend, a birthday BBQ etc., but not parties every weekend. I’m also looking for someone fairly neat :)

I enjoy art and politics and music. One of the most enjoyable things about living in Harringay is not only the excellent high street but the many parks on our doorstep.

Me and my previous housemate rented the flat unfurnished, so everything currently there was brought in by us, which means we can decorate the flat how we both enjoy it in the future.

I would prefer a female/ non-binary person, mid-twenties to mid-thirties. LGBTQIA+ more than welcome.

This is a joint-tenancy. Together we will be renting the flat for 2,000 GBP/month and will be responsible for the bills. We can share the rent and bills equally or approximately equally. The flat is council tax band C (Haringey).

Pets should be allowed by arrangement with the landlord.
