Description
Hi! I have a large double room with two windows in a cute and cozy warehouse. Rent price not only includes all bills and council tax but also includes a cleaner twice a month, and all basic household items like toilet paper, kitchen roll, tea/coffee, cleaning products and hand soaps 🙂
Looking for someone to take the room asap, as the couple who have been living here for almost a year have had to make a sudden move south of the river for work reasons. One month sublet with option for permanent stay after.
I don’t really mind too much what you do for a living, what your hobbies are or how you like to spend your time - so long as you have a good understanding of how to co exist. Keeping shared spaces clean and tidy, pitching in with house chores, respecting other people’s stuff, being generally friendly and pleasant to each other, and working together to resolve any conflicts or disagreements. A good dose of common sense is essential, and ideally it won’t be your first rodeo when it comes to shared living. Couples and pets are welcome, though there are some things for both which need to be discussed - and whether you like to keep to yourself or be very social with housemates is fine, but either way you will be expected to participate at least a small amount in looking after the space.
Me:
I’m a 42 year old former artist / painter - currently taking a bit a of a break and spending a lot of time working on health and fitness. I’ve spent the last two years not drinking, smoking or touching any of the good/bad stuff and I spend most of my time playing sports (football, basketball, skateboarding), hitting the gym and sauna, or practicing guitar and drums in my room (don’t worry the guitar is never plugged in and the drumkit is just rubber pads). Im a keen photographer and spend a lot of time out taking photos - and when I’m home I like to cook, listen to music, watch films and look after my growing collection of houseplants.
The space:
A cute and cozy three bedroom warehouse in Omega Works on Hermitage Road. Brand new cooker / oven, new washing machine, two fridge freezers, newly decorated bathroom, projector and speakers in main space, outdoor garden space (unfortunately the outdoor space is not wheelchair accessible)
Please note there is no indoor storage for bikes unless you keep them in your bedroom.
Central heating throughout the warehouse including in each bedroom, filtered drinking water in the kitchen , great shower pressure, lots of plants, basic shared amenities (basic pans, cutlery, glasses, mugs, plates, etc) and toaster, microwave, kettle.
Cleaner every two weeks included in rent price
This is not a party house - please do not apply if you like to sesh in the house - drinking in the house is fine of course but no vaping inside (even in your room) as I’m allergic to it.
Smoking/vaping in the garden is fine.
The warehouse is constantly evolving. I’m currently in the process of repainting the walls, getting some new chairs, putting up new shelves, and deciding what to do with the garden space. It would be great to find someone who wants to contribute ideas and who knows how to get stuck in with these kind of things!
Thanks for reading - I’m looking forward to hearing from you if you think you might be a good fit 🙂
