Lovely Ensuite Room in 2-Bedroom Flat in Hendon

Hi all

My boyfriend and I are advertising a lovely double room (single use) in the 2 bedroom flat we are renting in Hendon. Please read the whole ad until the end, and reach out with a short description about yourself. The more you let us know about you, the better 😊 Thank you!

1. About the Room

Very bright double room with great views over a natural reservoir where you get to see the sunset and receive lots of natural light. You have private use of your own big bathroom (we have our own). We furnished the room ourselves so you don’t have to, and it’ll come equipped with:

- Double bed with an Emma Mattress (brand new)
- A desk and a nice quality chair
- A big wardrobe (not shown in the pictures as it's still on its way). For the time being, there's a chest of drawers in the room
- A floor lamp

You will have to pass credit checks and tenant referencing with the rental agency (this is not carried out by us).

2. About the House

- 22th floor with great views (it's the tallest building in the neighbourhood)
- Kitchen: Built-in fridge, dishwasher, oven and microwave, washing machine
- Underfloor heating
- 1gb fibre to the flat
- Residents gym & Concierge
- NOT included: bills and council tax (Band D)
- NO parking

The house comes furnished but we're still waiting for a couple of things (a sofa as well as another living room cabinet). We just moved in two months ago and had to furnish everything, but we'd like you to feel comfortable and make yourself at home, so you'll be able to use everything in the house (as long as you take good care of it, of course) :)

Bear in mind that a new building is being constructed opposite to us but no noise can be heard when the windows are closed (the sound insulation is really good).

3. The Area & Transport Links

5 minutes walk to Hendon Thameslink, 19 mins by train to Kings Cross Station, and 27 mins by train to Blackfriars. 15 mins walk (or 5 mins bus) to Hendon Central (Northern line, zone 3). Hendon Thameslink is also reasonably well connected to Luton and Gatwick Airport. A short bus ride takes you to Golders Green from where you can also take the National Express to Stansted.

Beautiful park with a lake, swans and water sports, children’s playground, football fields, tennis court at the doorstep. There is also a big Co-Op 2-min walk from the building, as well as a few other grocery stores in the main street.

4. About Us

We're a Brazilian/Luxembourgish (29M) and Spanish/Peruvian (29M) couple who've been in London for 3 years, working in HR and Partnerships respectively. We love videogames (from Souls like games to Mario party stuff), and we've got a TV + PS5 + Nintendo Switch set up in the living room if you're also into it! But also board and card games, puzzles, etc. We both are very well travelled and have lived in quite a few countries (+ speak a few languages too), so ideally we'd like to live with someone who shares those open values as well. We're not big party goers, if anything we like to every now and then invite a couple of friends over but that's it. We might have a guest over from abroad every now and then too, but you'd be welcome to do the same!

5. About You

Even though we both are used to flat sharing, this is the very first time we are renting our own flat, so we're keen to find someone that treats the property and the furniture like their own home too. We're open to every type of person. If you're an extrovert and prefer to chat more often, that's great. But if you also prefer to spend more time in your room and have different hobbies to ours, that's also fine too. What we value the most is mutual respect, cleanliness and a chill atmosphere (as that's how we are too :D)
