Description
We’ll have a spare double bedroom available in a convenient location in Central Hendon. The flat is equipped with a spacious kitchen, two bathrooms and a box room usually used for drying clothes and for when family visits from other countries. Unfortunately we don't have a living room but the bedrooms are spacious enough to hang out!
There is parking available in the street and a private parking space in front of the house, shared with the neighbours who live below us (same main entrance, two private front doors) very rarely occupied.
We want to keep our house a home, not just a place to sleep, so we won't accept short term offers.
The prices:
Our beloved flatmate Ina is sadly leaving us to return to Australia in December, and you will be taking over her share of the rent. This is a whole house contract so there is a small one-time fee to change the name on the contract which is between £20 and £40.
There is a deposit of £664.
We are all liable for the full house, so the landlord will require you to have a guarantor.
The rent is £610 and the monthly bills per person are:
Internet: £6.47 (M250 Fibre Broadband)
Water: £20.75
Elec & gas: £20
Council tax: £52.5
The people:
You will be sharing the flat with three easygoing and neat housemates between 24 and 30: Paula, Maéva, and Tom. We've all been busy doing our own thing but we've also been catching up whenever we were free, and we're open to making plans together as long as we have shared interests.
The specs:
8 mins walk to Hendon Station (Thameslink line, zone 3/4).
12 mins walk to Hendon Central Station (Northern Line, zone 3/4).
Buses 83, 183, SL10, 113, N5 all within 12 mins walk.
20 mins walk to Brent Cross Shopping Centre and a big Sainsbury’s.
We value clear communication, reading the room, and the willingness to compromise in order to satisfy most of everyone's needs.
To avoid wasting anyone's time, please don't apply if you:
• Don't intend to stay until at least September (when our yearly contract rolls).
• Are usually on the louder side, or often invite loud people (we don't mind friends coming over from time to time but we mind our comfort).
• Don't intend to help with household tasks like restocking and cleaning (it's not much but we'll be using a rota so that it's fair for everyone).
To be considered, please tell us a bit about yourself:
• Why you're moving out.
• What you do for a living.
• Your typical day off.
• Your personal definition of respect.
Looking forward to getting to know you!
