The flat is large, clean and well equipped, with a modern kitchen including a dishwasher and washing machine. En-suite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin. Wi-fi is available, and a cleaner visits the property every fortnight.

A 10 minute bus ride to Golders Green and Hendon Central tube stations (Northern Line) and a few minutes walk to the local high street and shops.

**HOMESHARE OPPORTUNITY **

We are delighted to offer a new Homeshare opportunity for a female sharer to live comfortably and affordably in north London in return for providing some practical support and companionship to an engaging older gentleman in his 90s.

What the Opportunity involves:

In return for the low-cost lovely accommodation (£240 per month), we are looking to match our engaging 90+yo homeowner with a friendly, reliable female sharer (aged 30+) who can provide around 10 hours of practical support and companionship each week.

Our homeowner is a bright, sociable and fascinating gentleman who has led a varied and interesting career and is full of conversation. He is very close to his family and grandchildren, keeping in touch with them regularly via his iPad. Well-travelled and with many stories to share, he is a great conversationalist and enjoys the company of others.

Although his eyesight is affected by macular degeneration, he is otherwise mobile and does not use walking aids. He attends a lively day centre four days a week and enjoys socialising, but in the evenings he would love some companionship at home.

He is passionate about music and has a wide-ranging taste, enjoying classical and opera, as well as the Beatles, Freddie Mercury, Sinatra and Elvis. He also loves watching and listening to old films such as Singing in the Rain, as well as documentaries about famous people. A devoted Spurs supporter since 1947, he rarely misses listening to a match.

The support needed is mainly practical and social, for example putting out a light breakfast in the mornings, heating up a ready meal for supper, odd local grocery shopping, reading the post aloud and occasional iPad support. Most importantly, this Homeshare is about companionship – spending time together in the evenings or at weekends chatting, listening to music, or enjoying a classic film.

The ideal sharer will be a kind, sociable, bright and interesting female, preferably over 30, who enjoys conversation and spending time together. Someone who would be happy watching a film or documentary alongside the homeowner and sharing good company in the evenings. Clear spoken English is essential, as our homeowner is slightly hard of hearing. A non-smoker is required. Working from home occasionally or having a flexible schedule could be an advantage, though this is not essential.

We are looking to match this Homeshare opportunity very soon as his current sharer is leaving for family reasons.
