Description

Hi all!

Paolo and I are on the hunt for a new flatmate as we say goodbye to our lovely Asha, who's off to move in with her best mate now that he's finally moved to the big smoke!

ABOUT THE FLAT:
The flat is 3 bed with a huge living room, a fully fitted kitchen (with washing machine and tumble drier) and a spacious bathroom. The Landlord is a good friend of mine and always available if there are any issues. Its nice and light, with high ceilings and everything is in great working order (we have a brand new boiler!). We've had a bit of a re-jig of the living room to make space for a bookshelf and a record player - vinyl collectors and bookworms come at us. There is no garden but with Brockwell park mere moments away, it hardly matters.

THE ROOM:
A large double, furnished with a bed and a wardrobe, Nice and bright, it comes in at £625 + £100 bills p/m which covers everything, as well as all the fancy streaming channels on our massive telly.

THE AREA:
The flat is located in Bank Chambers - above Pizza Express, opposite the Half Moon and about a minute's walk to Herne Hill Station. There are also regular buses to Brixton (10 minute journey) and Central London that run throughout the night.
Herne Hill is a great little village-like area - pre-Covid 19 we've got Agile Rabbit serving up delicious pizzas and live jazz, Off The Cuff (pre Covid and hopefully post too) putting on gigs almost nightly and 4 pubs within 5 minute's walk. Plenty of shops about, plus there's a sweet Sunday market every week. Paolo grew up here and I worked in pubs in the area many moons ago, and also grew up in south, so we come with a great knowledge of the area and bump into lots of friendly faces who you will also inevitably meet when we're out and about!

ABOUT US:
I (Ali) am about to turn 27 and have lived in South London all of my life - in this flat for 2 years. I'm about to embark on a Social Work Degree, having previously run pubs since leaving school. I still do a couple shifts a week to feed the bank account. I enjoy listening to music, binge watching a good drama or comedy series and setting the world to rights with flatmates and friends. Recently went vegan (lol) and am bang into cooking now, and will often rustle up some communal eats.

Paolo joined the flat a year ago, and is a 29 year old creative, currently working in street food and film production. He enjoys writing, filmmaking and drawing. He's sociable and often partial to a good dance and a laugh.

We're created a home here and are looking for someone to join in. We like to keep the place clean and tidy without being neurotic. We prefer to hang out in the living room than our bedrooms if we're home, or the park when the weather's good, but we are also respectful of people's privacy. We're both busy with our own lives but make an effort to get together a few times a month, often with mutual friends. Not after a massive party vibe but have no problems with having mates over for a couple of drinks - we've already struck a great balance on this and would like to continue that!

If this all sounds like a bit of you drop us a message and we'll sort a viewing! x
