What & where
One of our housemates is moving down under at the end of Feb next year, so we're looking for another sociable and tidy house mate to replace them from beginning of March 2025 and rent out the 4th double room in our large modern house share, which is situated inbetween Brixton and Herne Hill (3 min walk from Loughborough Junction overground and bus links, 15 min walk from Brixton tube, 10 mins from Denmark Hill overground).
House setup 🏠
We have a very spacious and open plan ground floor, with modern kitchen that has a dishwasher, living room with three sofas and dining table, heated floors, floor to ceiling windows and doors that fully open out to the decking/back patio with firepit and picnic bench. This outdoor space gets the sun for most of the day and is a huge bonus in the summer and for when guests come over, as the space feels huge.
The first floor has two double bedrooms, one currently occupied by a female (31) and the other room is available, which is at the front of the house. As you can see from the pictures, it's very bright and has space for a desk (this isn't included, but all of the other furniture in the pictures is - chest of drawers and wardrobe, bed frame with storage underneath and mattress). It's not a big room, but it's well equipped and very bright and you're welcome to add more storage/furniture.
The second floor has two more double bedrooms, currently occupied by two guys, 32 & 29 years old. This floor also has a modern bathroom with a shower over bath and is shared between three housemates (one has an en suite).
It's a beautiful house, so we like to keep it clean and tidy and have a cleaner visit once a fortnight to help with that. Because it's modern it's also a lot easier to clean as well.
Most utensils/kitchenware/furniture that is needed is already in the house, but you'd be welcome to bring anything you have as well!
We're also a 15 min walk from Brockwell park and 5 min walk to Ruskin park, big enough for decent runs and nice views over the city. They are also perfect in the summer and for festivals like. mighty hoopla and cross the tracks!

- Are 3 other working professionals - currently 2 males and 1 female
- We're a sociable and friendly bunch, enjoy eating and drinking out, going to gigs, stand up comedy, being active. We hang out and make plans together quite often, usually at weekends when we can, but also respect each others space and time, especially during the week and will usually just catch up as we're making dinner. We also love to merge our friendship groups at any opportunity!
- One works for the NHS, another in HR and the other for an education charity, and we've been in London for a couple of years now so we have a good knowledge of the area
What we're looking for 🔎
A sociable, kind and easygoing person who is looking to make new friends as well as housemates, but has a busy life like us as well! Clean and tidy of course and respects the house and the housemates 🫶
Contract terms 📄
Our tenancy is now currently on a rolling contract that require a month's notice, but ideally we're looking for someone to stay with us for about a year minimum.
Please note that bills are not included in the rent - we split council tax, wifi, gas and electric between us and these amounts fluctuate, so you'd need to be prepared to pay 150 GBP max on top of the rental amount per month for these.
If you are interested, please message to confirm your availability to view the property. Once we've found someone, our housemate who is leaving will give their 4 week notice to the estate agency, then you will need to pay a deposit and go through referencing.
