Amazing double room in Herne Hill

We have a double room on the ground floor to rent in our house in the centre of Herne Hill! The House is a 5 minutes walk to Herne Hill Station (Direct trains to Victoria, Blackfriars, Kings Cross) and only a 15 min walk or short bus ride to Brixton tube station (Victoria Line direct to Oxford Circus) so is the perfect location for getting into Central London easily. The area is also well connected with buses to Clapham and other areas of South London.

The house is a 2-minute walk from Brockwell Park which has an outdoor lido, tennis Courts and is home to many events during the Summer. As well as having Brockwell park on your doorstep Herne Hill has many independent pubs, cafes, and shops as well as a great street market on a Sunday.

The house itself is on a quiet road with a spacious kitchen/living area. It also has a private garden which is amazing for BBQs in the Summer! The room is a large double and has plenty of space for a desk and working from home. The room is part furnished and gets super sunny!

You will be living with me and Issie (31 and 27). I am a primary school teacher in South London and Issie works in product development in West London. Our current housemate relocating to Sydney so we are looking for someone to fill her room and to take over the remains of her contract - a 6 month lease. There is the future potential to extend but not confirmed. As a house we love to socialise together in the evening whether that is cooking a nice meal, watching Netflix or enjoying some wine in the garden, so would love someone who wants to join in, however we are very much not a party house! We are both busy and active in the week and also enjoy our own space too. The house is beautiful and we love living here. Our landlords are really lovely and very attentive.

We are looking for someone friendly who is up for making this house a home – to join in for wine and movie nights. We are both professionals who like to keep the house a tidy, clean place to relax (we do have a cleaning rota) and would need someone who is happy to join in with us and respects the house.

Room comes part furnished. Move in date is the middle of October - exact date tbc shortly.

Utility bills (council tax, gas, and wifi) come to around £150+ ppm, with a water payment every six months, starting in April.
