Bright double room in Herne Hill

I’m leaving my double room in Herne Hill to move in with my partner, so we’re looking for a lovely new housemate to join us and take on the contract long-term. Ideal move in date is 15th August (can be a tiny bit flexi on this if needed).

About the room: it’s a bright and spacious double room, high ceilings, big windows, beaut fireplace. Comes furnished (2x fitted wardrobes, bed, chest of drawers). Mirror to sell if you’d like it.

About the flat: the flat is the first floor of a house. There are 4 bedrooms in total, one big open plan living area/kitchen, 1 bathroom and 1 separate toilet (never a queue for the bathroom!) and access to a sunny garden at the back. It needs some tidying up so good for anyone who’s up for a gardening project! Access wise, there are 4 big steps to get to the front door, and then the flat is up the stairs.

It's in a great location - it’s 5 mins from Herne Hill station with direct Thameslink trains to Victoria and St Pancras, 15 mins to Brixton. Brockwell park and the lido are on the doorstep and there are lots of cute pubs and cafes in Herne Hill and more bars and pubs in neighbouring Camberwell and Brixton.

About the flatmates: you’ll be living with a friendly bunch: Mia, George and Lily (24-34), all working across creative industries. Everyone is friendly and laid back, always up for a chat or glass of wine whilst cooking etc. but generally are pretty busy and have their own lives out and about so the flat is pretty peaceful! Looking for someone friendly, chill and tidy.

Important stuff: you’ll be subletting until the contract renews on 31st October, then you can be added to the contract from there. At the moment the rent is £761.33 plus bills (around £104 p/m). We also currently pay £20 p/m each for a cleaner who comes once a fortnight. There’s also a deposit of £807.
