Description
Hi all, we have a large double room available in our sunny flat with big shared living room and balcony. The room is comfortably big enough for a couple, with a big window and wooden floors. You would be replacing a couple on our contract, minimum 6 month s. We anticipate the our landlord may increase rent within the next year possibly by ~£100 per person.*
You'd be living with Eoin (38, likes swims in brockwell lido, ecstatic dance, works in a bronze foundry making sculptures) and Hilary (37, likes saunas in Ruskin Park, balcony gardening, works at a children’s hospital.
Ideally we'll keep the flat a friendly, communal place where we can sometimes share meals and good vibes. So bonus points if you are:
- veggie or vegan, or close/aspiring/supportive (currently we are veggie in the flat)
- in your 30s/40s. we find it can be a better fit with people in the same age group, similar stages of life, that sort of thing
- care about the world and like doing things to improve it
- want to create a low key flat family with a nourishing supportive vibe
- have a bike to add to our hall bike collection
None of these are compulsory... just indicative!
Bills are around £150 (includes broadband, water, electric. We don't pay for gas/heating as we're part of a communal system that serves all the flats).
We have a really active tenants' union who help fight the power*, big shared garden, community veg patch and summer bbqs etc. It's a good place to befriend the neighbours/be befriended by them, if you're into that.
If this sounds interesting, please drop us a message with a bit about you! Please stick in as much relevant detail as you can.
NB (Our current flatmates move out end November so ideally you could move in December 1st or be willing to sign onto the contract from that date and move later - we're open to covering the rent for a few weeks for the right person).
