Description
Hi there!!
We are a house of young professionals - a Civil Servant, Business Analyst, Start-Upper and a Prison Coordinator!
Rob & Ben have lived here for just over a year, and Richard & Nancy, for just over a month. We all have our own things going on, but if we're home at the same time, we'll throw a dinner together, put a film on, make some tea and have a good natter.
<< NOTE: Please only apply if you're able to move in on (or commit to rent from) 25th May >>
The house is huge and homely with five double bedrooms over three floors (plus basement for storage). It was renovated two years ago with new carpets and extra insulation, though it is an older building so there are quirks and a few draughty windows.
On the ground floor is a large living room, kitchen, utility room, a downstairs loo and a dining room which opens out onto our garden (spot Ben growing vegetables and herbs in!).
On the first floor are three bedrooms (including the master), a bathroom (with bath), and a separate loo.
The top floor has two further bedrooms, a new bathroom and a home office with sofa bed and enough space for three desks if needed (spot Richard on his work calls and Rob singing from the shower).
Your room would be on the first floor and has a window that looks out to the garden.
The room is available from late May, ideally from 25th May as that is when rent comes out. It comes fully unfurnished but the rest of the house is furnished, but would be able to accommodate some additional extra pieces!! We love a good framed picture or novelty pillow!
We are hoping to host viewings in the first week of May (exact dates tbc but from the 5th ish) so in your message please specify your availability.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Rob, Richard, Ben & Nancy!!
PS: some extra bits and bobs for your info…
Interested in: music, cooking, socialising, swimming, films, theatre, yoga, cycling, wine, eating out, gigs, tennis, exercise, literature, culture.
Bills
Vary depending on the time of year but are between £100-£150 per month. That includes all gas, electricity, good internet for WFH and a lovely bi-weekly cleaner.
Transport
The house is an 8 minute walk from Herne Hill and 10-15 to North Dulwich stations, which between them have fast trains to Victoria, London Bridge and Gatwick. Brixton is the nearest Tube, which is a 10 minute cycle or 25ish minute walk away. Many of us cycle and we have bike storage in our garden.
Local amenities:
Sainsbury's, Tesco, Brockwell Park, Herne Hill market, Half Moon pub & The Florence pub all within a 10 minute walk. Also close to Dulwich and Ruskin parks as well as Brockwell Park Lido & Gym. The area is quiet and relaxed but easy to cycle into Central.
