Description
I'm looking for a lovely new housemate to join my cosy home in Herne Hill/North Dulwich.
I'm a creative professional (I work in children's book publishing) and I'm looking for a friendly, considerate and professional to share the house with.
I'm quite busy during the week and active over the weekends but enjoy sharing dinner, sofa-time, a glass of wine or a pub outing with a new housemate whenever possible.
Some of my interests include travelling, cooking, cycling, music and making the most of London's great restaurants, museums, theatres and cinemas.
The house is on a gorgeous leafy street, with a patio and back garden which is such a winner in the summer. There's a storage room upstairs too which is great for extra storage, drying clothes / ironing etc. There is also a spare bedroom - which can be used for guests or re-purposed as a study/ This used to be a three people occupancy house, but it can only be occupied by two people full time now (as per landlord's request). As well as all the usual things in the kitchen there is a dishwasher and a freezer.
Bills come to approximately £180 each per month. The available room is the upstairs back room which has a big bay window overlooking the garden and is semi furnished (bed and wardrobe included). The house originally came unfurnished but has pretty much collected what it needs over the years, so it's just stuff for the bedroom you need.
The house is a 10-minute walk to Herne Hill station, from where it's 9 mins to Victoria or 22 mins to St Pancras International. It's a 4-minute walk to North Dulwich, from where it's 14mins into London Bridge, or 2 mins to Peckham Rye to jump on the overland to East London. Lots of buses too!
Sought-after Herne Hill has a farmers' market on Sunday's, various places to eat and drink, and the gorgeous Brockwell Lido, but we can also be in Brixton in minutes on the no. 3 bus even more options! Camberwell, Peckham, Dulwich centres are all within walking distances too.
I'm looking for someone to move in at the beginning of November as my current housemate will be moving out on the 9th of November.
If you're friendly, cheerful, considerate, queer friendly and this sounds like a good fit, I'd love to hear from you!
Please note: for some reason the website wouldn't let me input the correct deposit amount, but deposit is £830.
