The room available is large. It occupies the top floor of the house which makes it very private. There are two windows including one Velux so the room gets good daylight. It is furnished with a very comfortable king size brass bed, a freestanding wardrobe and chest of drawers. If desired a desk can be added. Adjoining it is a lovely en-suite shower room. Both rooms are heated by radiators.
The house itself is a five bedroom Victorian end of terrace on a tree-lined street in the “North Dulwich triangle”. The house has an open plan kitchen/family room with comfortable seating for TV viewing. There is a separate sitting room, dining room, downstairs wc and laundry area. There is also a small cellar, which houses in particular a second fridge and freezer. There is a garden to the rear with furniture for fine weather dining. The area does have controlled parking and if required a permit can be purchased.
Transport links are good. North Dulwich train station is less than a five minute walk with a line into London Bridge whilst Herne Hill station is a twelve minute walk with line to Victoria and a Thameslink line to St Pancras and beyond.
Alternatively, there are two bus routes close by, both going to Brixton thereby accessing the Underground network.
The Dulwich and Herne Hill areas are both attractive areas with lots of coffee shops, bars, restaurants, parks and green spaces.
The house is occupied by the couple who own it. Their children have flown the nest but their three year old Cockapoo resides with them so anyone interested would have to be comfortable with a (very sweet) dog in the house
The room would suit best someone professional or a mature student. They must be a non smoker and be reasonably quiet and tidy. There have been several previous occupants in the past all of whom felt comfortable here. All bills Inc council tax covered.
