Description
Hello, I have a room available in our cozy home in Herne Hill/North Dulwich.
The house is on a gorgeous leafy street, with a patio and back garden which is such a winner in the summer. There's a storage room upstairs and a spare bedroom as it was originally a three-person house but now can only be occupied by two (per landlord's request).
The room comes unfurnished, however, there's a wardrobe and bed frame that you may take from the spare room.
Bills are around £180 per month, and the deposit is £830. There will also be referencing done by Pedder. The person moving in should have proof of income above 27K.
The house is a 10-minute walk to Herne Hill station (9 mins to Victoria, 22 mins to St Pancras) and 4 minutes to North Dulwich (14 mins to London Bridge, 2 mins to Peckham Rye for the overground). Plenty of buses too!
Sought-after Herne Hill has a Sunday farmers' market, great places to eat, and Brockwell Lido, with Brixton just a short bus ride away. Camberwell, Peckham, and Dulwich are all within walking distance.
I'm a professional in my late 20s, working from home. Among other things, I enjoy film photography, theater, reading, and going to live gigs as often as I can.
On weekday evenings, I usually either go to a yoga class, a live gig or a play, or relax by watching something. I’m a big fan of Mubi, but I am also guilty of binge-watching (and often rewatching) both old and new series. Around once a month, I enjoy hosting friends for dinner. On weekends, I enjoy exploring different neighborhoods, finding new bakeries, and taking long walks to get there. I also love exploring new museums, hiking, visiting pubs, or sometimes just having a relaxing day at home.
A clean and tidy home is very important to me, so I’d expect my housemate to share this value and commit to taking care of it in a way that works for us both. Since the house is an older share, I’d love to make a few updates to create a cozier and more welcoming space—and it would be great if you’re up for joining me in that effort (:
I’d love to hear more about you and your interests, what you find important and challenging about living with others, and what your ideal balance is between having people over and enjoying quiet time at home.
