Description
I’m looking for a new flatmate (preferably female, 30+) to join in a two bed, first floor flat share, directly between Brixton and Herne Hill. Available from 1st February.
The room
The room available is a bright large double, located towards the back of the flat overlooking the neighbours’ garden. The room comes with a double bed frame, wardrobe, and small shelving unit, and can easily fit a desk plus additional storage/furniture.
The flat
The flat itself is a 2 bedroom, first floor flat with friendly neighbours on the ground and second floors. It has a large living/dining space with lots of natural light, a big dining table and two sofas. There is a separate kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, a bathroom with bath and good storage, a hallway for coats and shoes, and a decent sized garage for bikes/storage behind the property.
Location
The flat is in an amazing location; 10-minute walk to Brixton (Victoria line and Southeastern) and Herne Hill (Thameslink and Southern), as well as 5-minutes to Brockwell Park and 10-minutes to Brockwell Lido.
The flat is within walking distance of a good sized Sainsburys (9-mins), a newly refurbished M&S Foodhall (12-mins) plus Brixton Village Market (8-mins) and Herne Hill Farmer’s Market (11-mins) on Sundays. The road itself is home to multiple coffee shops, a wine bar, craft beer shop and much more!

My name’s Helen, I’m 35 and work as a Senior Grants Officer for a global health advocacy charity. I’m currently in the office 2-3 days per week, and WFH 2-3 days per week. I like to spend my evenings cooking, relaxing in front of the tele, and tend to be out a couple of nights a week too seeing friends, going to the theatre etc.
I’d love to share the space with someone living/working at a similar pace, who is clean & tidy, easy going & respectful, and who would be up for spending some evenings catching up in the flat or out for a glass of wine when we’re both free.
Rent, bills, tenancy etc.
* The rent is £925 per month;
* * Bills are separate and come to ca. £150 a month;
* No agent; we communicate directly with the landlord who is very responsive and accommodating;
* No deposit required.
The tenancy is for 12 months with a 6 month break clause, moving to a rolling contract thereafter.
