Description

Hi future flatmates,

We are a bunch of creative professionals(aged 28-40) seeking a fourth flatmate to join us in our characterful first floor apartment in Herne Hill.

The House:
Charming Victorian house divided into two apartments; we are on the top floor with a shared entrance/hallway
We have a beautiful, although semi-wild, generously sized garden shared amongst the two apartments
Separate toilet from the bathroom which we all share. The shower is over a large bathtub with great water pressure & consistent temperature
Medium sized kitchen, fully furnished with all equipment including four gas hobs and fan oven. The apartment does not have a living room, so there is a dinner table in the kitchen where we can chat and cook together/eat with guests/conduct house meetings

Location:
15 minute walk from Victoria line in Brixton
10 minute trains to Victoria, Blackfriars (Thameslink)
3 minute walk from Brockwell Park
Plenty of local shops for essential amenities, lots of cute, independent cafes and cocktail bars
Frequent buses (including night buses) into Central London in front of our doorstep

Who are we:
The house currently consists of three tenants, where you’d become the fourth! Amber (28) is a vegan chef, circus artist & sculptor, S (he/they) is a freelance artist, and Titash is a creative professional. We all had a positive experience of meeting through Spare Room and are lucky to have similar levels of independence throughout busy London lifestyles, whilst valuing warmth and friendliness when crossing paths, cooking & chatting communally.

What we are looking for:
We are all long-term tenants who deeply value our home - we are looking for someone who resonates with our pace of living and mutual goal of creating a home which is our sanctuary and safe place. If you’re looking for a home centering calmness, communication, cleanliness, get in touch! It would be perfect for mature students, perhaps doing a Masters or PHD. Whilst we sometimes have friends visit to share meals from time to time, or occasional garden gatherings/fires, this is firmly not a party house.

Full spectrum inclusivity is deeply important to all of us and we would like for this home to stay a safe space for marginalized people.
