I’m moving out of a lovely queer cosy home in the Brixton/Loughborough Junction area to move in with my partner, and we’re looking for someone kind, community-oriented, and bringing soft, warm energy to join the space ♡

I’ve genuinely loved living here and am only leaving because of the move, so hoping to find someone who’ll really enjoy the home too.

You’d also be living with a very cute kitty called Rapty, so applicants do need to be comfortable around cats. He loves a wander around the house and saying hello.

✨ The room + house
• £720 pcm + bills (usually around £100–120 including council tax, with the higher end tending to be seasonal)
• Available to move in from June 1st, with some flexibility for an earlier move if needed
• No references or guarantor needed
• Benefits accepted
• Bedroom comes with a mattress + bed frame
• Deposit is one month’s rent

The room is airy, spacious, and overlooks the street, though it’s generally pretty peaceful. The huge windows mean the room gets absolutely drenched in sunlight during the day, making it feel really bright and lovely, especially in summer.

There’s plenty of room for a desk, wardrobe, and lots of other bits while still having space to properly move around (or dance around a little). The house is also great for WFH, with a comfy shared couch setup and another housemate having a desk they’re happy to share communally.

There’s also a shared garden/outdoor space with loungers, plus a cupboard under the stairs if you need storage for larger items.

• Three-storey house
• The room is up two flights of stairs (26 steps total from the ground floor)
• Unfortunately no lift access
• No steps on the main living spaces floor
• Ground floor bathroom available, though you’d mainly share the upstairs bathroom with one other person
• No intercom

• Ideally looking for someone long-term (minimum 6 months)
• No couples unfortunately

• 15 min walk to Brixton
• 15 mins to Denmark Hill Overground
• 2 mins to Loughborough Junction station with easy links to Elephant & Castle, Tulse Hill, and other parts of South London
• Super regular buses nearby including the 35, 45, 345, and P4
• The 35 and 45 are both 24-hour buses

✨ Location + area
Very close to Brixton Village, perfect for culture and food spots including Latin, African Caribbean, and East Asian cuisine and community spaces. It’s a quiet pocket in a very vibrant, lively area, so you get the best of both worlds.

✨ About the house
You’d be living with Jaz (actress), Esengo (they/them, artist), and Ellora (they/them, consultancy and transitioning into teaching in September). The house is gentle, creative, and caring, with a more calm and independent day-to-day vibe because everyone has different schedules. We do still love kitchen chats, laughing together, and creating a warm home environment where people genuinely look out for one another.

One housemate does smoke, though only ever in their room and never in communal spaces.
