Friendly houseshare in Highbury

Hello!

We're looking for someone to come live with us in our lovely 4-bedroom home in Highbury as we're sadly saying goodbye to our wonderful housemate who is moving to Italy to embark on a new chapter in life.

We live in a cosy and calm 4-bed on the Hackney-Islington border. There's three of us (2M, 1F) and also Dougie the Dog, the old boy Miniature Schnauzer.

The house is spread over two floors and we're extremely lucky to have lots of living space - a large living room/diner, separate kitchen, utility room for bikes and shoes or things, and a downstairs toilet in addition to the main bathroom upstairs. There's a big garden too that we maintain, which is great for chilling in the summer, growing things, or simply having your morning coffee and a chat.

The room available is small but suitable for home working. The room comes with a built-in closet, a desk, a hanging shelf and a double bed with storage space beneath. You are of course free to rearrange or add things as you like!

With Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, Highbury Barn, Arsenal and Finsbury Park all really close by, there is loads to do in the local area and great transport links.

Us as housemates are all easy-going, thoughtful people aged 30-40, seeking the same. We all live pretty independent lives with very varied working schedules and occasional days working from home. We are not a party house, though just naturally come together for chats, laughs or the occasional coffee, home cooked dinner or nipping to the pub for a goss where life allows.

There is a very friendly and relaxed vibe in the house and we're all very conscientious of it being both our home and an extremely unique gem, and take equal responsibility for things like cleaning and looking after the place, and are looking for someone of similar energy to join us - someone looking to treat it as their home rather than a temporary crash pad. We're looking for a minimum stay of a year, and subletting is not allowed. Sadly we also can't allow any more pets.

The room is available from the start of October and rent is a bargain at £400 per month (really) to the most wonderful private landlord. Bills are not included in the rent and are managed between us, normally coming to an extra £100 +/- per month each.
