Description
Hi everyone,
I'm sadly leaving my super cheap room in this Highbury/Finsbury Park flat! It's perfect for students or first time Londoners. I've lived here 5 years and it's time to move on to something new in the area (although I'll definitely miss the low rent!)
About the room:
The room is good sized double room (good yoga/workout space, if that’s your thing) on top of the house on the second floor.
£510 per month and comes with a double bed, built in clothes rack and bedside cabinet.
All bills are included in the price of the rent, except for internet which is £9 a month and gas which we top up in rotation & averages about £10 each every couple of months.
Move in date is the start of August, but it can be flexible, depending on what works for you and us.
About the house:
The house is definitely somewhere I've called a home in the chaos of London. We pretty much have everything you need, including a well stocked shared kitchen and bathroom that we’re decorating at the moment.
Unfortunately, much like many London properties, we don’t have a living room, but we have a little sofa in the kitchen and generally use that space to socialise so it’s never really been too much of a problem.
About the location:
The location is fantastic - you’re about 5-10 minute walk from Finsbury Park, Arsenal and Highbury & Islington stations (Piccadilly & Victoria lines, overground and mainline) and buses every few minutes right by the house. We’re also right by Clissold Park which is perfect for summer, and a stones throw from Stoke Newington Church St and Angel.
The area is very residential with a good mix of restaurants and shops. We’ve been very spoilt living here over the years.
About the housemates:
You’ll be sharing with three others.
The longest standing resident is Zara, who is a freelance graphic designer from Northern Ireland and has lived in the property for about 6 years.
There's also Thomas, a medical researcher from France and Kristo, from Ethiopia/Italy who works in retail. Both joined the house a few months ago, so you’ll have the opportunity to create a new home together.
Let me know if you’re interested or have any questions. We'll likely hold socially distanced viewings in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks
Barnaby
