Description
🌟 Double bedroom available (Highbury/Islington) – move in late November (22-30 Nov.)
My flatmate is moving back to Australia, so I’m looking for a new housemate to join me in this lovely two-bedroom flat in Highbury. At a glance:
- Bright double bedroom in a great location, comes furnished (can include the mattress for extra cost or bring your own)
- Friendly, active housemate (me!), originally from Melbourne, leads a local run club, often having chill time in local cafes.
- Move in around late November 2025 but can be a bit flexible (earlier) if needed
- £1,140 (rent pcm) + ~£235 (bills per month)
------------
🛏 The room
A bright fully furnished room (double bed, wardrobe, drawers, bedside table, mirror) with space for a desk and good storage. Bedroom photos are of a prior housemate’s setup (along with other shots and original agency listing). Available 22 to 30 November, some flexibility if this needs to be earlier.
🙋🏻♂️ About me / who I’m looking for
I’m 36, originally from Melbourne, and have been in London since 2018. I work in the UK Civil Service (competition/consumer regulation/law) and will finish my Master’s in Organisational Psychology in December.
I am WFH 2–3 days a week, lead a local run club, enjoy planning my next trip and catching up with friends. Friends would say I’m sociable, active, can often be found in the coffee shops around the area and enjoy getting to know people.
I’d like to find a housemate (30–40, full-time professional) who’s friendly, tidy, and sees the flat as a home and calm space. Someone who’s happy to add/contribute to the space, make it cosy, and is up for a coffee, walk or dinner from time to time. We’ll both have our busy lives, but it’s nicer not to feel like strangers.
🏡 The flat
Compact kitchen (includes dishwasher!), bright bathroom with window, lounge with dining table and leafy outlook, communal roof top and secure bike storage. The lease runs until July 2026, with the plan to renew (we’ve previously done 18-month renewals).
