A warm and friendly older person with poor short-term memory and reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would really benefit from the friendly reassurance of someone in their home overnight and helping with breakfast. Additional practical help around the house including picking up shopping, cooking and sharing a few meals, help with light household chores, plus accompanying on occasional outings would be really appreciated.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and chair, and shared use of the bathroom, kitchen and sitting room.

The property is a flat conveniently located in Highbury, 10 minutes’ walk from Arsenal Underground Station, 10 minutes’ walk from Drayton Park National Rail, and 15 minutes’ walk from Highbury & Islington Station (Underground, Overground, National Rail).

The person’s interests include reading (they like going to the library), watching films and TV programmes, playing card games, and the company of friends. There is an active church community. They are a wonderful cook and would really love to teach a sharer to cook their favourite Keralan curries.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
