Description
My flatmate is moving out so a room is available in a sunny and bright flat in Highbury, right by Clissold Park.
The tenancy is coming to an end so we will need to sign on to a new 1 year tenancy, starting the 1st of May.
About the flat:
Wood floors throughout :))
It's like living in a treehouse - we're on the third floor (there's a lift), and surrounded by trees in every direction. There's no real traffic and other than kids playing and occasional summer parties it's super quiet. That said, it's super well connected, walking will take you 15 min from Finsbury Park, 25ish from Highbury & Islington, and 5-10 from Arsenal. Great access to buses which will take you to central in 30 min(ish) Loads of places to store bikes around as well, and the area is super safe, my bike has been locked outside for three years with no issues.
The flat has a good amount of storage, a bathroom with a tub, and an open plan living/dining/kitchen room - but it's spacious enough that it doesn't feel cramped. The kitchen has a dishwasher :)
The flat comes mostly unfurnished but I have furnished it over time, that said there's definitely room for more if you want to bring anything. I'm also super happy to move my stuff around to accommodate
About the room:
Super big and spacious room, its furnished on one side with mirrored IKEA wardrobes which make the room brighter but also offer loads of storage space. Other than the wardrobes and a bed frame, the room is unfurnished, so you will need to get/bring a mattress and anything else you might need. Difficult to get a good photo of it, would recommend viewing to really appreciate it
About me:
I'm an architecture student (Masters) finishing up my degree in September. I'm tidy and like to keep shared spaces clean. Not a huge party person but definitely go out from time to time, always considerate to be quiet when getting back/not bringing the party back home.
Other than that, I'm into anything creative, walks, reading, cooking (and eating ofc) and also like a bit of gardening lol
About the future flatmate:
Ideally friendly and down to do stuff together, but also has their own thing going on.
It's important to me that the flat stays clean, so it's ideal if you value cleanliness too.
Also would like to live with someone who is calm and considerate, and am super open minded about anything I haven't mentioned. Also queer/LGBTQ friendly
