Room in 6-person house – lovely spot in Highbury

We’ve got a spare room going in our house in Highbury and are looking for someone to move from 7 March.

The location:
* Arsenal station is 3 mins away, Finsbury Park’s 10, and there’s a bus stop to central 2 mins round the corner
* Highbury & Islington and Drayton Park are also within walking distance
* It’s a quiet, leafy bit of north London that feels like home when you get in at the end of the day
* Loads of parks nearby — Clissold 12 min walk, Finsbury 10 min walk, Gillespie 2 min walk
* And loads of nice local cafés, pubs, and independent shops
* Good gym (literally) next door

We all agree the area’s one of the best things about living here.

The house:
* There’s a garden (we use it all year, but summer’s especially good)
* Living room is very cosy – good for hanging out or watching TV
* Two bathrooms spread across the three floors
* Big kitchen with two ovens and two hobs (->never feels crowded when cooking)
* Washing room with two washing machines and two dryers

The people:

There are 5 of us currently – all 28-31 working professionals.

Dan’s a chef (Brit), Erin's an entertainment lawyer (Aussie), Ben works in comms (Brit), other Ben's a town planner (Brit), and Ioana’s a brand strategy consultant (Romanian).

It’s a classic “we hang out but do our own thing” vibe – we’re a sociable house but not intense about it. Everyone’s got their own stuff going on, but we cross paths a lot and often end up hanging out (in various formats) – whether that’s watching TV, chatting in the kitchen, or going out for a drink or a pub quiz now and then.

The room and the logistics:

* Room dimension: roughly 4m x 3.5m, newly painted (large room, bright with big windows)
* Rent is £1,025 pcm incl. council tax
* Bills are roughly £50-75/month (incl. internet and cleaner)
* Available 7 March
